This boy has such a lovely piano space. Mine is rather impersonal... I plan on re-designing it tomorrow! I've already acquired myself the piano sheets to the piece heard above, "River flows in you", by Yiruma. It's so beautiful. River flows nowhere when I play though, I'll need to practice more.

i have a drink at starbucks now! a tall vanilla bean frappuccino no whip. it's only 260 calories, which is pretty good for something that tastes like vanilla ice cream. it tastes nothing like coffee, which i guess you could say for all starbucks drinks (hurrrr) but really, it's just like a vanilla shake.
man, now i'm one of ~them~.

Summer school is finally out,
a field day with Ella out of the city was a wonderful way to celebrate. Ausable Chasm is such a cool place! I really love it there.
After escaping Rainbow Falls, we drove to a semi-deserted beach and took a nap while waiting for the boat to come. The sun would only show up every now and then, which was so soothing. It was nice to leave the heels at home and wear jeans again.

i'm watching the olympics and it's the women's all-around for gymnatics. they're cheating the american girls out of their deserved scores so much, it's disgusting to watch.
edit: what the hell? some chinese girl just got WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too high of a score in the balance beam. what the fuck. this shit is fucked up.

before, once i started dating a guy i couldn't be satisfied because things would get comfortable and i would get bored. it had happened often, and i was afraid that it would keep happening.
that wasn't comfort. that really was just boredom.
real comfort is wonderful and i haven't been bored with him for the past three months.
isn't it funny, what we think when we don't know any better?

I know it's been a long time, but it's time for another legitimate update.
Later this week, I should finally receive the keys to my new apartment in Claremont. I'm excited to move in there as it represents a big step forward for me. I've already been over there to drop some stuff off and I really like the way it's setup. I honestly can't wait to start classes!
Other than that, I've been spending tons of time doing various things and generally keeping myself busy. My goal for next week is to hang out with more people before I start the grind of the academic year, during which I'll have a smaller amount of time in which to do fun things. Don't get me wrong, I'll still be running all over the place, but it'll have to be done in smaller amounts. I still plan on heading down to Orange County a lot. I also plan on returning to the West LA area fairly frequently, so don't feel like I'm never going to see you-all again!

Here I am sheltered in my own little North American home, finance notes laid out on my desk... ignoring them, while an old friend from high school is in Thailande right now, getting muddy and riding baby elephants. Trekking through jungles and rafting on bamboo sticks. Laughing and cooking with the local villagers. Experience first, comfort last. So much beauty and vivacity, and a whole different kind of luxury.
