Stepping Selection
This is something I'd been meaning to do for a long time, but I finally ripped all of the background videos from the first disc of Stepping Selection and uploaded them to Youtube. I posted one of them here a long time ago, and I've shown them off at SGE a couple of times, but I think it's about time the Internet at large gets to see everything this game has to offer.

If you're like me and you usually skip over Youtube links, don't do it this time. This really, truly, honestly is worth it.

My favorites are Ghostbusters, My Sharona, and Surfin' USA. Also Footloose, because it totally sounds like he's saying COME ON BEFORE WE CRAP.

Scientists state that the bumblebee isn't supposed to be able to fly according to aerodynamic physics, right? Well the fact that the 999 cover is actually more grating and annoying than the original has me twice as baffled.

You were actually the inspiration for making this happen, since earlier today I saw that you uploaded Ghostbusters and I was like dammit, I need to do this RIGHT NOW. Also you don't need to delete your copy if you don't want, I just reencoded and uploaded it so I could have a complete set.

I don't even remember what's on disc 2 anymore. I'm kind of afraid to look.

well, glad I had some influence on this then! Because the rest of the world definitely NEEDS to see this stuff. Disc 2 had Night of Fire, right? And the Scatman / Britney Spears videos, but of course those aren't comedy gold.

man, that guy at the end of Galaxy Express 999 is awesome. Best choreography EVER. I don't remember seeing You Can't Hurry Love, but the flowers zooming by at light-speed are fucking great. They're in more of a hurry to get out of there than the Time Traveler tumbleweed. For extra fun, make "BYOOOOOOO" or "VROOOOOOOOM" noises when the flowers are zooming by. Try it!
