My computer is pretty easily spooked. At any time when it is even under the slightest stress - or most often, for no reason at all - it will simply say "nah, we won't be doing this anymore" and reset without warning. Sometimes I'll get a blue screen explaining why the crash happened, but it's always in some crazy moon language I can never make any sense of, so it's not really helpful in the least.

This happens, on average, about fifty thousand times a day. I had learned, with time, to accept it as something unavoidable and unfixable. The crashes didn't seem to have any lasting effect, after all, aside from contributing to my ever-increasing annoyance and rage. So why worry?

Well, today, I must've been lucky enough to have a crash happen when the system was doing something with some important file or another, because on the next startup, I see a message saying something to the effect of "okay, something fucked up, and Windows is not going to start up now or ever again."

All right.

So I get out the installation disc and try to fix things myself. Various attempts at repair fail miserably. As a last-ditch effort, I try to reinstall. This'll work for sure, I think to myself. Just as long as, heh, I don't get a bluescreen crash or something at some crucial moment. Man, that would suck, wouldn't it?

Guess what happened.

Oh man, what a fun day this was. I think my computer forgot it was even a computer at one point.

In the end, though, I got the thing working again, but I'm in the position of having to reinstall a whole lot of stuff at the moment. The hard part is over with - I always, always have trouble with getting my modem to work when something like this happens - but I still have a bunch of little small problems to deal with...along with other, slightly bigger problems like, you know, SOUND NOT WORKING AT ALL and I can't figure out WHY and THIS SUCKS, SHIT MAN, WHY NOW DAMMIT

The worst part is that the reinstall did nothing to curb the constant crashing. Well hell.

Anyway, this post is my excuse as to why I might not be around or posting much for the next short while, until I get everything working again like it was before. That is all.
