I've been casually reminded that I need to update, which I knew I did anyways, considering last weekend was definitely update-worthy.
If you want to read about what happened while Craig was here, you can go ahead and read his journal. Yes, I got a tattoo. I was a little too tipsy at the time, and since he was getting one I wanted one as well. It's just a ring around my middle toe on my right foot. I actually quite like it, which is a good thing considering I can't exactly get rid of it. Yes, we also didn't let Maisy have a pet monkey, and it's all Marton's fault. Luckily, she's over it by now and has moved onto wanting a pet Nemo. Surprise, surprise. This is the.. 84th time, I think?
The weekend was absolutely fantastic. Everything from the cocktail party, to the actual convention, to the banquet, to the wrap party.. I've always enjoyed my time at these things, especially when I'm amongst friends that I hardly ever get to see as it is. It's always nice to see Mark and Joel. Though, I do see Joel a little more often considering he still lives here in Auckland.
I met a lot of people at the convention, specifically the cocktail party because that's when you can actually interact with everyone for the most part. Though I get the feeling that no one really recognised me, because I didn't talk to an awful lot of people. Or maybe it's just the fact that Craig has far too many fangirls and they were ignoring everyone else but him. ;)
During my session I told everyone that I'd called Maisy Saturday morning, and she was like "Did you tell everyone how I was a baby in Lord of the Rings?" I absolutely adore her. Oh, and for the record Liv, she's love you to death. She walks around the house going "I love Liv. She's so pretty." I should videotape it one of these times and send it to you. Anyways, now that Maisy's older, I think I might take her to the actual convention the next time I go.
Speaking of Maisy, I need to run her to pre-school. There may or may not be more on this convention at a later date. Hopefully I'll have photos to show you all, because God knows there were some really amusing things that happened.
