My name is Kathryn, you can call me pretty much anything EXCEPT for Kathy, I hate that name with a passion. I am 18. I'm a Virgo and I act very much like my sign (for any of you interested in astrology you know what to expect then). I'm not a teenage whore who believes it's okay to be anorexic for the sake of attention or maintaining the "perfect" body. I'm very happy of how I am. I love the very few close friends I have because they're always there for me, and I would do anything for them. I currently live in Bangkok, Thailand. A lot of people don't understand that when I say Thailand it ISN'T Taiwan and I'm sick of people saying, "how is Taiwan?" Seriously guys, look at a world map.
I love make-up, but it's more of a hobby than anything else. I don't need it to survive. I am however, quite obsessive about my hair. I am very pro-choice and very gay and women's rights and I tend to get frustrated with people who think differently than I do. I respect their opinions but sometimes I can't control my temper. I get jealous easily, too. I don't think it makes me a bad person though, it just reminds me that I'm human. I love to write stories and use my imagination, and I wish I could draw or do crafty things but I'm just not talented in that area. Put a typewriter in front of me though and my art springs to life.
I love music, too. I play the bass guitar for fun because I don't think I could ever be in a band, it would be too stressful. Violins in songs make me weep along with sad pianos. I'm currently obsessed with asian pop, being that it's the only thing on the music video channels here, and I find it a lot more tolerable than American pop. I don't like bands that take themselves too seriously. I'm into music that inspires me to write such as Modest Mouse, Fugazi, The Mars Volta, Three Mile Pilot, Pinback, Black Heart Procession, and Thieves of Always. I also dig Depapepe, Kat-Tun, Film, Ice, Dong Bang Shin Gi, Gackt, Plastic Tree, Miyavi, Psycho le Cemu, Moi dix Mois, Schwarz Stein, and Malice Mizer. I like other stuff too so don't be afraid to ask!
I'm intrigued by languages. I love living in a place where I get to hear so many out on the street. I play pool, but I stink at it. I also like to cook. I've found I have an obsession with Starbucks, mango tea frappachinos are the best invention ever. I love movies that are just looks into everyday lives without all the Hollywood mumbo-jumbo.
