Or a general location? Okay, according to Wikipedia the Mancunian Way was already built by 1973, but Sam wakes up in a 'wasteland'. Working with .avi files terribly slow in Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 [17 May 2008|11:02am] vidding [housepiglet] [ mood | frustrated ] Hi peeps, I'm wondering whether there's anything at all that I can do to make it easier to work with .avis in VideoStudio. It's grindingly slow with my .avis, but when I try things out with the sample files that came with the programme it just whizzes through. I bought a new PC y/day, thinking that would solve the problem, but it hasn't. Further researches have suggested that the problem is due to the .avis being highly compressed. There must be other peepses out there using .avis with VideoStudio. Can anyone please offer any suggestions? Might converting the files to mpeg help? If so, is it viable? Notes: Made for Directed Study project in Film (for minor). It's intended to be understandable, as a narrative, without having seen the film or having any familarity with the universe. Also, it was made in five hours and I will very likely go back and adjust some things so concrit is welcomed. My eighth vid and the only one over 3 minutes, this was a very new experience for me and I'm not entirely happy with the results -- Windows Movie Maker doesn't like weaving audio together nearly as much as I wanted it to.
