Oh, dear computer! Don't leave me like this!
Okay, this is not good. So not good. 

I think my honey is breaking up with me - my little, sweet 1 1/2 foot tall metal darling full with wires and memory chips of joy. Oh, dear computer.

I mean, I tried to be nice. 

But lately, I don't know, we had better times. Sure, it's odd that I had to tell him what day or time we had, every time I switched him on. Normal people shouldn't nose into BIOs but he didn't give me any other chance. Can't let him running around telling yahoo.de or amazon.de that it's January 1th, 2002.

Oh boy... if that would be the only problem. I could live with that.

But he's getting hot, really hot - after an hour. Frying eggs hot. That's not normal. 
Give him half an hour and he's warm. An hour later, if he was human, he would be dead.


Maybe it's time to see a computer doctor. Or has anyone any ideas why a computer could start to run hot all of a sudden? The ventilator? *freaking out - only if you hadn't notice so far*

netzteil? also, wenn er heiß wird, würd ich das mal tippen... die sin auch relativ billig, und danach war bei mir schon des öfteren alles wieder gut...

Der Übeltäter war das Netzteil. Du hast voll ins Schwarze getroffen. Und mit einer neuen Batterie haben sich seine Erinnerungslücken auch vertreiben lassen.

Oh nein ... Das erinnert mich auch an die Zeit, wo ich neulich Probleme hatte. Ich glaube, das liegt an der Jahreszeit, denn letztes Jahr ist mein PC auch kaputt gegangen +schnüffs+ ...

Ich wünsche Dir, dass der PC ganz bleibt ... Good luck, my dear !!!

Das Problem hat sich zum Glück beheben lassen und im Moment bis auf die beiden toten USB-Anschlüsse läuft alles ganz gut.

ich würd erstmal aufmachen und innen sauber machen.
vielleicht hilft das ja schon... meiner ist mir einen sommer dauernd abgestürzt, richtig schlimm und ich konnte es mir nicht erklären, irgendwann hat ich mal einen ventilator davor gestellt, damit mir der pc nicht überhitzt... aber das hat dann nach einer weile auch nicht mehr geholfen... weswegen ich irgendwas zum kühlen des pcs gekauft hatte... aufgemacht ... und ein paar leichen drinnen gefunden ...
es war sehr faszinierend...
der staub hatte mir den hauptventilator sogar komplett lahm gelegt, da waren richtig fette wollmäuse drin ...
kein wunder dass der mir immer abgeschmiert ist.
Von daher... ausprobieren kannst es ja mal, vielleichthilft es.

Nachdem wir ihn von der Reparatur zurückbekommen hatten, haben wir ihn noch einmal aufgemacht und etwas innen abgestaubt - oje, was sich da in vier Jahren angesammelt hatte, nicht schlecht.
Ich bin mir sicher, der Lüfter auf dem Mainboard hat sich über die Reinigung bestimmt gefreut. Danke!

Yep. It could be the cooling system for the CPU or maybe for the power supply unit. Too much heat can cause damage to some of the more smale and fragile components of a PC. I hope you have a capable PC-doctor rushing in to save the day like the guys from EA.

Na ja, über den kompetenten PC-Doktor kann man sich streiten. Um mich zu vertrösten hat er auf einmal gemeint, dass der Fehler nicht im Netzteil liegen würde, sondern in der Grafikkarte... Nach Einbau des Netzteiles hätte er beim Hochfahren des Computers nur noch einen schwarzen Bildschirm erhalten, weswegen er meinte, da könnte vielleicht der Fehler liegen - am Abholen des Computers hieß es dann nur noch, er hätte da wohl was mit dem Bildschirmschoner verwechselt...

Ich glaube beim nächsten Mal versuche ich es mal bei den Typen von atelco im Indupark, Dortmund.

Tja, ob das was damit zu tun hat, dass Grafikkarten teurer sind als Netzteile???? Nein!!! Ganz bestimmt nicht!

Die Vermutung drängt sich da einem schon auf aber... ich bin mir nicht sicher.

Ich hatte eher das Gefühl, dass er nicht zugeben wollte, sich an Tag 4 den Rechner immer noch nicht angesehen zu haben und sich deswegen diese Story aus den Fingern gesaugt hat, in der Annahme, dass ich als Mädchen eh nichts von Computern verstehen und es auch nicht merken würde.

Also verarschen wollte er mich schon, ich glaube nur nicht, auf diese Weise.

Muss wohl der beste Weg sein, Kunden für sich zu gewinnen. ;)
