Am I the last one who watched the trailer of the american version of "Life On Mars"?
I just don't understand it - how can they cancel a show like "Moonlight" and monstrosities like that are going to be aired?!
Where is good taste when you need it?
I mean, I love Colm Meaney but oh no, that is even too awful for me. Compared to that, I will never ever say something bad about "Ashes to Ashes" in my whole life.

Die Verwaltung der Stadt Hagen hat mir einen Brief geschickt, in dem sie anfragt, ob ich Interesse haben würde, nach meiner Prüfung als Chemielaborant in ihrem Chemischen Untersuchungsamt zu arbeiten. Sprich, ob ich an einer Übernahme nach der Ausbildung interessiert wäre...
Natürlich vorausgesetzt, ich bestehe die Prüfung und die Note ist nicht unter aller Sau...
Hmm, soll ich jetzt "ja" oder doch "nein" ankreuzen?... ;)

OMG!! "The Ipcress File" (or "Ipcress - Streng geheim) is really available on dvd!
Yeah, well, movies are available on dvd, that are no news, I know. But it's a movie from 1965, so it's not something to take for granted.
A young, cool Sir Michael Caine with thick, black specs trying to solve the mystery of a conspiracy before he falls victim to it. And he can make these glasses look so sexy on him.
Watched it twice this weekend, thanks to cable television. The music can drive you nuts but I know which movie dvd will be part of my next order.

Saturday night was a little "James Bond Movie Night" on television. "The Man With The Golden Gun" and "A View To Kill" plus the documentaries about the Bond girls, sorry, Bond women (I learned something - besides that Goodnight is probably one of the most annoying Bond ladies in my opinion) and about Desmond Llewelyn.
Watching "A View To Kill" - from 1985 - something striked me that I had totally forgotten.
There is this one scene where James Bond visits Stacey Sutton at home and has just the right timing because two henchmen of Zorin have the same idea. Stacey has this shotgun which Bond takes to teach the bad guys a lesson, only to discover that something is strange about its amunition. Back in the house with Stacey, he asks her with what she has loaded the shotgun.
Her reply is - rock salt.
Is now rock salt the second standard amunition for shotguns, did I miss some memo of the NRA or is this just my crazy fangirl mind which wants to have fun and sees parallels everywhere?
Or do the James Bond-movies have an unknown layer of meaning and symbolism that I only missed so far?
Is Stacey Sutton simply more than the blond, dumb, weak chick that I thought she is but a very cunning, intelligent huntress of evil spirits and demons whose daily facade even fools our hero? Is Zorin an even bigger threat than assumed who not only wants to destroy Silicon Valley but wants to open the hellmouth to release devils & demons to ravage earth and humankind? Is that why Stacey is letting herself be kidnapped and acting like she hasn't noticed the huge zeppelin above her to get as close as possible to Zorin to fulfill her plan of finally stabbing him with the wooden stake hidden in her neck line - a plan Bond totally foils out of his nescience?

Nachdem der Typ, bei dem ich meinen Computer in Reparatur gegeben habe, nur eine Woche für den Einbau eines neuen Netzteiles gebraucht hat, hab ich jetzt meinen PC wieder zurück. Ich werde am Wochenende versuchen, alle verpassten Comments, Posts und Emails nachzuholen und zu beantworten.
Apropros - als kleines Extra hat er beim Einbau anscheinend einen Stecker vergessen und nun sind die vorderen USB-Anschlüsse tot. Ich hoffe, wenn ich am Wochenende den Rechner öffne, finde ich den richtigen von alleine.

Okay, this is not good. So not good.
I think my honey is breaking up with me - my little, sweet 1 1/2 foot tall metal darling full with wires and memory chips of joy. Oh, dear computer.
I mean, I tried to be nice.
But lately, I don't know, we had better times. Sure, it's odd that I had to tell him what day or time we had, every time I switched him on. Normal people shouldn't nose into BIOs but he didn't give me any other chance. Can't let him running around telling yahoo.de or amazon.de that it's January 1th, 2002.
Oh boy... if that would be the only problem. I could live with that.
But he's getting hot, really hot - after an hour. Frying eggs hot. That's not normal.
Give him half an hour and he's warm. An hour later, if he was human, he would be dead.
Maybe it's time to see a computer doctor. Or has anyone any ideas why a computer could start to run hot all of a sudden? The ventilator? *freaking out - only if you hadn't notice so far*

Am 05.01.2008, einem Samstag, um 22:30 Uhr zeigt Arte die ersten beiden Folgen von "State Of Play" - unter dem Titel "Mord auf Seite Eins". An den nächsten beiden Samstagen folgen die restlichen Episoden immer als Doppelfolgen.
Am 12.01. um 22:35 Uhr und am 19.01. wieder um 22:30 Uhr.
Wiederholt werden die ersten beiden Folgen am 11.01.2008 um 03:00 Uhr und am 12.01.2008 um 15:20 Uhr.

Doctor Who on the telly. I'm watching Doctor Who on my telly, thanks to cable television.
Da ein paar von euch "Doctor Who" gucken und Fan der Serie sind, dachte ich, ich werf die Information mal in die Runde.
Nein, Pro7 hat nicht endlich damit angefangen die Serie auszustrahlen, deren Rechte es schon seit Jahren besitzt. Es sind die Niederländer - genauer gesagt, dieser seltsame niederländische Fernsehsender, der durchs deutsche Kabelnetz geistert.
Da läuft nie etwas interessantes - bis auf Samstag so gegen 15:00Uhr.
Es sind Folgen mit dem Doctor Nr. 10 und Rose. In der Folge, die heute lief und von der ich die letzten 5 Minuten gesehen habe, lief der Doctor im orangenen Raumanzug durch die Gegend und sprach mit einem riesigen Teufel über Gravitationsfelder und ein schwarzes Loch. Auf englisch plus niederländischem Untertitel.
Vielen Dank an ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) legoline- bei der heutigen Folge hat es sich um "The Satan Pit" gehandelt, Season 2 Episode 9.
Ich schätze mal, als deutscher Fernsehzuschauer wird man Doctor Who niemals näher kommen.

After all, it will be Halloween and so far it seems that I will spend the evening at home.
Will I be watching...
- the final episodes of the first season of Supernatural?
- a few episodes of Angel or/and Buffy and indulge myself in old, fond memories?
- all three Blade-movies in one go?
- all episodes of Ultraviolet and making notes for part 2 and 3 of my UV-fanfic (which will probably never be completed but who cares?!)?
Or I could tinker some Wraith figures?
Or will I simply fall asleep?
At least I have one more night to think about it.
Maybe I should scare my mum with... something, I don't know. Could be fun.

Erst einmal möchte ich mich dafür entschuldigen, dass ich in meinem letzten Post so überreagiert habe. Wenn man die Sache mal nüchtern betrachtet, ist es schließlich nur ein Buch.
Und für die anderen sechs Bücher war ich auch schon immer gespoilt, also wäre es am Ende noch ein Bruch der Tradition gewesen, wenn ich es nicht auch beim siebten gewesen wäre.
Es ist mir mittlerweile egal, ob ich was über das siebte Buch höre oder nicht.
Und es war meine Schuld - ich hätte mich auch dafür entscheiden können, LJ ganz zu meiden bis ich das Buch gelesen habe. Ich hab mir im Prinzip selber was vorgemacht, als ich dachte, dass es bei LJ genug Communities und etc. gibt, die kein HP zum Thema haben, dass man es ohne Gefahr wagen könnte.
Ich hätte am letzten Sonntag das machen sollen, was ich am nächsten Sonntag sowieso gemacht hätte, weil dann wieder die Schule beginnen wird und ich eh keine Zeit für LJ gehabt hätte - ich mach erst einmal eine Pause von LJ.
Wenn was sein sollte, Emails rufe ich immer noch ab oder einfach hier in meinem Journal eine Nachricht hinterlassen.
Ich weiß noch nicht, wann ich wieder "LJ - on" sein werde.

Omg!
Ich bin es gewöhnt, mir überaus schlechte Filme, in denen ein Schauspieler von Stargate SG-1 oder Atlantis mitspielt, anzusehen. Kein Problem. Aber in Sachen Kussszene werden die allemal von einem Film getoppt, in dem sich einer der Herren aus "Primeval" die Ehre gibt.
Die Rede ist von Douglas Henshall in "Kull der Eroberer".

Kurz und schmerzlos kann vielleicht alles sein nur keine siebenstündige praktische Prüfung. Sieben Stunden lang klebte mir ein wahnsinniger Leprechaun an den Fersen - und ich glaube, dass ist noch eine Beleidigung für alle wahnsinnigen Leprechauns.
Erste Aufgabe lief sehr bescheiden ab, die zweite hingegen perfekt.
Die Theorie und die Praxis jetzt zusammengenommen, komm ich auf eine hübsche 2+ / gute Zwei als Gesamtnote in meiner Zwischenprüfung. Ziel erreicht. Klappe zu. Affe tot.
