new face-up for skahhh! this is definitely, absolutely the way i'm going to do lips from now on. i have officially perfected my technique. they turned out so lovely and soft. i just can't stop looking at them.

:3 i'm making skah a hoodie. it's not anywhere near being done, but i've got one side of it done, minus the sleeve. =x it's meant to have a pocket on the front, but i think i'll just leave it be XD

dollie namesakes.
skah-skah's name means 'white' in a native american language :3 as soon as i happened upon it, i knew it was the one.
dice-dice's name comes from..well...me sitting around in my room trying to think of names...and seeing the fuzzy dice that my brother gave me for christmas last year. those dice are still waiting for me to get a car to put them in XD
cricket-i just thought it was a cute name :3 at one point, she was almost named 'jelly' instead.
nameless el-i am still questing for this boy's name. it needs to be hip, yet dignified. i'm at a loss >.< but i will find it!
josiah-this name is pronounced 'juh-z(eye)-uh' and it was actually the name of a guy that was on fear factor once :3 i really liked the sound of the name.
ebenezer-i named him while watching 'a christmas story', believe it or not XD his nickname is 'knees' :3 i thought that was cute, too. reminds me of that saying 'it's the bee's knees.' XD
clementine-you know the song. oh my darlin', oh my darlin', oh my daaaarlin' clementine! plus, i love those little oranges :3
edit--scratch that! i just found a name for my el! he's the kind of boy who chases after anything pretty on two legs, male or female. i'm going to name him 'gier', the german word for lust.

random plans
so, i definitely like the 13.024 in blue from hairstar. ^_^ thank you to shoe for showing me the link. it'll need some trimming, but it's pretty much perfect for the dot camine i've planned. she was going to be named jelly, but i'm reconsidering it. i'm wavering between jelly and cricket (for the camine) and between cricket and keegan (for the nameless el). josiah's wig will be a tawny, grey/light brown furwig...kinna like this, but a bit longer. knees will have this exact wig. i've wanted that one from the first moment i saw it XD nameless el will have this one, the wt-01 from dream of doll. and here is dice's wig, a work in progress from the lovely and talented ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif?v=92.2) pretty_rosario.

body issues.
okay. since i have just gotten a job at supertarget (as of today, woo! :D) i'm considering getting a soulkid tiffee head with my first paycheck. but! i have a dilemma. i haaate the female soulkid body. i would like to put the tiffee head on either an msd-sized dollstown body...but i can't seem to find any comparison shots to demonstrate size and skintone differences. if anyone is willing to take pictures of these for me, i would be forever, forever grateful. help bring dice to life! ^___^

the verdict.
so i've reached a decision. the 18mm rainbow eyes that i got for skah are absolutely beautiful...buuut they're just not him. they fit him okay. they're a little large. but i think he will keep his lavender eyes and i'll save the rainbow ones for when i get another dollie. oh, and his new brow piercing is shown in those shots, too.

first face-up.
yesterday, i gave skah his first face-up. took me about two hours, from cleaning his head to spraying the final layer of testors. i honestly think it sucks, but i've since figured out what i did wrong and i will surely do a better job next time :)

so, i was deathly afraid to restring my boy, but in the process of attempting to remove his headcap, his entire body ended up being unstrung. it was really not that bad, although my fingers were killing me afterwards XD..and as for the face-up.. .-. i was really nervous to do it the first time, but it turned out all right...once i got started, i calmed down and it was a blast. i'd love to hear some opinions on how it looks ^_^

eyeball mishap.
so. the other day, i accidentally bought some eyeballs. on ebay.

my female parental unit yelled at me this morning for it, but i don't care. i'm kind of glad it happened, seeing as the eyes are positively ab-fab.
i'm sure mister skah will appreciate them. they suit him better than his default lavender ones.

"i come in peace."
what..? o.O i can't believe i never updated about this!
on october 21st, i came home to find my mother hovering over a rather large package with my name on it. it had korean writing on it and had gone through customs to get to me. i knew what it was...buuut, my mother did not. i played dumb. i feigned surprise as i calmly opened the box, my mom and my little brother gathered 'round and dying to know what it was XD
and slowly revealed...was this bald little wonder. 43.5 cm tall, with lavender eyes, and a curly brown wig.
i'd like to introduce skah.
