Thanksgiving

I had great Thanksgiving weekend this year. This was the first year we spent it at my sister's. It turned out to be great. Both our side of the family, as well as her husband's side of the family was there. It was the first time in a while that I spent Thanksgiving in a really full house. It was a nice change from our usual small Thanksgiving celebrations.

The next day Helen and I got up for some "Black Friday" deals at Hastings on used DVDs and used CDs. Forget the big lines at Circuit City and Best Buy... used items are where its at! Later that day we took part in my dad's new Day-After-Thanksgiving tradition: "Apple Bowling". And all I will say about it is that I made a real fool of myself, and we shan't speak more of it again. ;-)

On Saturday Helen and I had figured out how to watch Netflix movies on the XBox, and spent pretty much the whole day watching movies. On Sunday, I did the Bible reading for Advent at church (my first time!) I hopefully sounded alright, although I noticed that you could probably hear my nose sniffling through the microphone. ("The virgin will be with child... *snifffff*... and will call him Immanuel... *snifffff*...")

Overall it was a pretty great weekend. How was yours?

Mine was great! :) Pretty similar to yours, actually, minus the snuffling into a mic ;)
