In the shadows... [May. 17th, 2004|06:16 pm]
[Feeling | calm]
[Jukebox |The Rasmus | In the shadows]

I've discovered something. If I drink a strong coffee in the morning, and then a V energy drink in the afternoon, I can stay at work longer than anyone else - and the boss will walk past and compliment me on my dedication to my job.

Ha! GENIUS!

Troy was interesting.... It started off quite lame, and my friend and I were sitting there asking each other if we thought it was crap. </b>Orlando's</b> acting is the same (poor boy) and Brad had a nice blonde in his hair that Sarah is going to ask for next time she's at the hairdresser, lol.

"Grecian Blonde please..."

Ooooh, my friend is bringing Scottish boys to me in January. Mwaha.

One Red Bull, stat. [May. 12th, 2004|06:37 pm]
[Feeling | tired]
[Jukebox |Vast | Pretty when you cry]

Work work work, blah blah blah as usual.

Someone needs to pimp out my site - I want strangers to think I'm weird.

Carl from work went to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless mind last night. We were talking about it today, and he really enjoyed it. That doesn't surprise me, because he loves 'out there' sort of films. He suggested Donnie Darko to me - so the guy knows his stuff! I want to see ESOTSM again, but I might have to wait until it comes out on DVD. I can have another Elijah dvd fest, like I did as an excuse to rent All I want when it came out on dvd here. lol.

I wish I could find the tape where I recorded Michel Gondry's filmclip for Madworld. Gah.

Speaking of movies, I'm going to see Troy tomorrow night, which should be interesting. I'll see Orlando's ass, which in itself is worth the $13.50. Eric Bana is in it as well, and he looks/acts exactly like my brother - which is creepy. Especially when he turns into big green monsters. :/

It's ALIVE!!! [May. 8th, 2004|06:27 pm]
[Feeling | bouncy]
[Jukebox |Air | Playground Love]

Yes, I am still alive. Phew. My life has just been go go go lately, and I'm trying to catch up. Work has been hectic, home life has been hectic - with my sister over from Melbourne last week, and back again tomorrow - and the scottish lady we have staying with us is back for another 2 weeks. Sheesh. When do I have time to breathe?

Anna's HUGE party was awesome. I played DJ for most of the night, and was stalked by Jake for the rest. That was mucho fun. My friend got walked in on by 5 people when she was completely naked - it was very American Pie-esque. Needless to say I spent all of Sunday recovering, but that wasn't so bad.

The week was kind of boring, I bunked of work a couple of times because I had heaps of shopping to get done, and they messed around with my pay day times. It's now moved from Wednesday to Thursday, so I need to shift my schedule around for that. But never fear, I got my shopping done - and it included a gorgeous chunky turquoise necklace that I am going to wear to the pub tonight. Swish.

I'm skipper tonight, so no alcohol for me. *weep* Although that is probably a good idea, with our big family BBQ tomorrow for mothers day. I would hate to have a hangover for that! Luckily Red Bull gives me wiiiings!

Busy Bee [Apr. 27th, 2004|06:37 pm]
[Feeling | okay]
[Jukebox |Franz Ferdinand | Come on Home]

Well Saturday night did not go as planned. I hadn't had alcohol in quite a while, so needless to say 4 Smirnoff Ice Black's and 4 champagnes knocked my socks off completely. I got drunk in front of all my old high school friends, and ended up puking in the garden. Charming.

Then I got to celebrate my wonderful hangover with a loud, screaming Australian Rules football match the next day. I love my family outings. lol. My parents were making fun of me the whole time - but they bought me hot chips and coke, which cured the headache. :)

Monday was a bit of a nothing day, I just did some washing and pottered around the house, reading and watching DVD's. I can highly recommend The Da Vinci Codes by Dan Brown to anyone looking for a good book. (I gave up on Crime and Punishment) And also Requiem for a Dream was a bloody amazing movie.

Erin, Kenta, Christoff, Sophie and Hugh are mighty disappointed that the Radiohead concert they saved up to fly across the country to see has been cancelled at the last minute. Pity they don't offer a refund for airfairs :/

Rain has gone, sun is shining... [Apr. 22nd, 2004|07:53 pm]
[Feeling | cheerful]
[Jukebox |REM | Night Swimming]

There are 3500 sailors in Perth as of this afternoon. And there is a programme where you can 'host' one. I am so considering that. It would be so hilarious. I remember my last encounter with a marine. His name was John, and he called me 'ma. Truth or dare was fun that night.

The car is still getting fixed. Meh.

My sister is coming over from Melbourne this weekend! Wheefun! We are having our makeup trial this Saturday, and then she is helping me 'mohawk' my hair for Penny's 21st birthday party that night. I can't wait. Punkness & Slouch Boots <3

I called Erin from work this afternoon. (yes, the government can pick up my interstate phone call tab) She is loving it. She is serious about moving over there with me next year. I can't wait. The culture there is so rich, I would get drunk every night on the atmosphere alone.

Bite me Live Journal. [Apr. 21st, 2004|07:00 pm]
[Feeling | relaxed]
[Jukebox |Franz Ferdinand | 40']

Well I tried to alter my journal, and ended up making a big effing mess of things. So now we're purple. Sexually frustrated? Most probably. Gorgeous? Most definately. Thanks for your code Rach, but I really messed it up, so I'll stick with plain for now... :)

I got a new car last night. And it went right back to the dealership today. I haven't driven a stick in AGES, so last night when I was 'practising' I noticed that the interior lights don't work. And the bonnet doesn't shut properly. And there is a dent in the front. What a load of crap. Brand new, never been driven and it has 3 faults? I don't think so.

Erin flies out to Melbourne tonight! Lucky camper. It's going to be freeezing over there though, if I know my Melbourne weather! lol. It's raining and stormy, I hope her flight is okay. :/

PAY DAY = New CD

Mmmm Franz Ferdinand
