I signed up for "Introduction to the Fashion Industry" on a whim around 11PM Wednesday night (the class was 6:30PM Thursday night) and it was fantastic. I felt good and am really feeling more like FMM (Fashion Merchandising Management) is the direction I want to go in which feels great and makes designing for FUN possible which is so much more fluid than thinking "portfolio portfolio portfolio" (hello assignment notebook concept sketches, haven't been inclined to do that for months!). I think I've decided that there are enough great artists out there, of clothing in this case, and that I don't really CARE to compete but that I definitely have an eye for design but in a different way than I had thought previously. So tomorrow I have a Fashion Design class, Draping I, that I will attend and feel out. I do want to be on a track to a degree of course but at FIT when you're full time it's the same price to take as few as 12 credits or as many as 21.5 credits so... why not? I'm going to go and give it a shot.
Other good things that have happened recently:
+Had dinner with Daniel, who is great
+Have more stable Internet connection
+Went to the Barney's Warehouse Sale after classes today.... a-ma-zing. Not only was everything deeply discounted, it was all 40-60% off the SALE price. Yeah! I rounded up a dress, a skirt, two pairs of shoes, and a decorative plate (teehee).
(I victoriously paid 1/5 of the original price of these little suckers)
The other things would require a bit of prep to photograph (such as putting them on, something I was not feeling after the madhouse that was the Sale followed by the humid, yucky rain) so I'll hold off. I almost bought this skirt that was originally $1,515 (YES WTF) but would have been $190. $190 breaks my skirt budget by... too much. But, seriously, marked down from $1,515???

I'm having the worst mixed emotions right now. I feel so uneasy that my hands are shaking as I type this entry. I think it's the caffeine from the cup of coffee that I just finished which I now realize that I should not have drank in the first place if want to get a decent sleep. *Shrug
For the second time, I went home from work alone. This time it wasn't amusing and it was pretty sad to go home this morning without anyone to talk with. As I passed the red light district and gazed upon the bright-lit buildings surrounding the strip, I couldn't help but contemplate about life. It seems that since I started working, I lost track of IT. I used to have a life - a normal one - but now, all I ever do is go to work, go home, sleep, wake up, eat, go back to work and over and over again say our famous "Thank you for calling..." spiel. I don't have enough time for my family anymore and even going to mass is difficult because after my last shift on Sundays, I practically sleep the whole day through. And me being up very late isn't helping my back either. It's just a matter of time til I break free from captivity and then, and only then will I find some sort of calmness that I've been longong for the longest time.
So.. I got my paycheck yesterday. I was shocked to see the amount on the ATM screen because it was P4,000 more than my basic. I was happy and I actually thought that this might be a GOD sent blessing in disguise. I was happy for a while because I thought that I might have this chance to set aside a little bit of money for my OJT in the next few months. Alas, my happiness was taken away from me at work. After finding out there were several mix ups with the distribution of the incentives to the employees' accounts, I couldn't help but be dismayed. I mean who wouldn't be right? I know that something wasn't right but I bit and gave in to the fake bait. Now I have to suffer from having a deducted salary for my next pay check because I got some of it sorta in advance with the paycheck that I got already. I don't mind that much really, at least by getting more this cut off, I was able to control myself and keep the extra without any temptation of wanting to splurge on things.
My partner in crime is currently in a hospital in Manila with his aunt and cousin. He won't be back til Sunday and I am missing him badly in a way that I can't explain. I know it's just a couple of days since we last met but it feels like forever. Sometimes when I'm working, I feel like it's been months since the last time we've been together. I can't remember the last time he texted me with a sad smiley but last night, almost most of his texts had this ;( icon. It was the most disheartening representation of sadness. That symbol sank in my system like the TITANIC and gave me this awful melancholic feeling the rest of the shift. It was terrible. More depressing than going on overtime to compensate the hours that the company lacks.
Just hoping that time would go faster right now. Tha's all I ask.

hey mrs, are they any websites i can buy polaroid cameras from? websites which ship internationally. probably those not that expensive. i don't mind secondhands.. i know of ebay but im not 18 yet so i cant sign up.
and concerning the film.. they say their not going to producing them anymore but fuji film will take it over right? when will that be? or has it already been taken over?

1. Does anyone know where I could get a Girl Talk "I am not a DJ" shirt? I know they were on sale on girl-talk.net a year or so ago, probably longer, but that site isn't up anymore. I looked on google and ebay, so if I'm missing something let me know.
2. Does anyone have the myspace or pictures of Sierra Green's current hair? She was on My Super Sweet 16 a few years ago and she's going to be on that show Exiled on MTV, she is Cee-lo's daughter. I saw her on The Road to Exiled or whatever its called earlier and I liked the colors in her hair.
3. My eyelids get really greasy for some reason and when I put on makeup it looks really gross and will slide off after a few hours. Is there any way to fix this?

im looking for plus size dresses. formal dresses. kind of like prom/wedding gowns?
even if they are ebay stores, post away if you know any!

I don't know if this exists, although I'm sure it does, but I'm looking for a website similar to Pandora or that works like the Music Genome Project for BOOKS. Like, you type in the name of a book or author and suggestions for similar books come up? Doesn't have to be as sophisticated, but you get the idea. Thanks.

Okay, are any of you experts on candy? I am on a mission to find one of my favorite halloween candy but I cant for the life of me remember the name, and maybe one of you can. They are chocolate balls, with a green, kind of tart filling. They were sold in bulk, and they have this wrapper that is foil and i think it has like a monster face on the front. Does anyone remember these and know their name?

so after almost a month of not racing or even riding my bike out side of dicking around to and from work, i finally made it out to the velo for the last race of the season. i figured since its the last race of the season, concidering how the first couple of races went and that i had it finally built up i was going to race the new bike.
there was a scratch and a tempo on the schedule. if they arent that long i should do pretty good with them. didnt get to much of a warm up since cale forgot his helmet and shoes, so he borrowed my helmet and someone elses shoes. when the first race came i was still not fully warmed up. it was a 5 lap scratch so i figured i could go off the front get a preem and pull to the back. got the first lap and got beat at the line for the preem on the second. to which i just dropped off the back.
second race went better. another 5 lap race. same thing jump off the front and hold as long as i could. i took the first two laps which got me enough points to hold second or third depending how the last 3 laps go. the guy who took second in my two laps went on to get first and no one else steped up to pass my points, so i got second. not to bad.
so i figured with my showing on tuesday and the first couple of races i would have had enough points to get a cat upgrade. with the weight training that i will do all winter and hopefully more riding this coming year than i did this year i should be able to move up.
hopefully jamie will have pics up so i can see what it looks like when i race. i need to fix the rise on my stem but i dont know exactly which way.
cross session started wednesday night and boy ouch are my mounts dismounts rusty.
