OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

So, the other half of day 1! And a tiny bit of day 2, where we went to Sintra. Sintra is a very cute little village nearby Lisbon, where there is a beautiful palace like the ones in a Disney movie! But more on that later. Oh wait there are a few of day 3 as well, so that’s confusing haha. Anyway, not interesting to you anyway. We just hopped on and off the tourist trams, did a lot of sightseeing, saw some students that looked like they belong at Hogwarts, got some drinks.. and of course I took tons of pictures. The usual stuff! ;)

(I’ve been editing these pictures a bit different than ususal, not sure yet where to go with the editing. But sometimes it’s fun to experiment! Also, has anyone seen the new Flickr? Any comments on that? I like the look, but I find it terribly confusing. Mmmm…)

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Last night (at midnight actually!) I came home from Lisbon. I had a wonderful time with my 2 friends, the sun was shining (except on the last day), it was warm and fun and awesome :D I loved the coloured houses, the decorative tiles, the friendly people, the cheap coffee, the sunshine, the hard sea wind (is that actually a ‘thing’, sea wind?), the sweet pastreys (pastel de nata <3), the hills, the trams, the tiny characteristic streets <3
It took me the whole day to get the courage to look at my pictures. I took about 3000 hahaha! Oops! Although half of it is out of focus, I still need to sort them out. I took my Olympus Pen Mini with me because it's small and light (but also slow and sometimes annoying). Here are the first pictures I went through. Be prepared of lots of pictures of my friends ;) You can expect a shitload of Lisbon-posts this week!

On day 1 we took a tram (a really old one!) onto Lisbon's hills. We stepped out at almost every stop and did a lot of sightseeing (Castelo de São Jorge, Sé Cathedral, basically everything on tramline 12). And we walked through a lot of tiny alleys full with colourful houses! Here are a few pictures ;)

many many more picturesCollapse )

Since I still have a ton of pictures to post and I’m almost off to Lissabon, I decided to just post a few random pictures of last week. I wish I had something interesting to say about them, but I don’t! This blog is more like a photo diary anyway, in case you hadn’t noticed yet ;) I still have to post some Edinburgh pictures that are gathering dust along with thousand of other pictures. I don’t even want to think about how many pictures I will take in Lisbon! I can take about 5800, that should be enough ;)
I should probably go to bed already (have to get up early tomorrow for work!), but I can’t be bothered.

Anyway, a few pictures of this week! I also made a tiny lino cut inspired by a simple doodle. I actually liked it quite a bit so it’s now part of my new layout. It’s one of my many self portraits, yup, I make ALL KINDS of self portraits. I’m just so inspired by myself *sigh*. Oh and yes: new layout! Well I’ve had it for a few days so you must have noticed it already. I did some tweaking tonight and now it’s really finished (okay the line height on posts could be better.. but now I need to go to bed!). Hope you like it! :)
