Woke up at 5am in barcelona so that we could catch the 9am train to madrid, only to discover when we had gotten there, that we had to make a reservation... so we ran back upstairs from the platform to quickly get a reservation, but were denied. Our choices were then to either pay 55 euros each for a first class reservation for the 10 30am train or wait until 430...being the poor people that we are, we watied all day in the train station until the 430 train. Spent the day sitting on benches, laughing at all of the poepl who would fall to their doom when they tried to sit on the broken bench in front of us, eating ice cream, singing to our music, and trying to take naps while wrapped around our bags. Finally when 430 rolled around we got on the train and were plannig on sleeping, but the kids and their mom who sat facing me were stoked on kicking me and yelling the entire time. Sweet. They were cute though... i think mostly because they spoke spanish and had seasame street stuffed toys.

unfortunately, not much of anything worth mentioned happened in madrid since we were only there for one full day in which we wandered around and ended up hanging out in this square where a massive group of kids were flying themselves down the stairs on big planks of wood from the construction site... what could possibly go wrong? ...After that, we took and train to seville- a really intruiging city that id like to spend more than 2 hours in next time. While we were waiting for our bus that was goig nto go from seville to lagos, we just walked around the town and grabed some bites... stopped by a cathedral and ended up getting scammed by some crazy spanish speaking gypsy ladies who grabbe dour hands and told us a fortune in spanish and wouldnt let us go until they finished then demanded five euros...after giving them 2 euros cause they wouldnt let us go, i left feeling extremely confused...

ill have to write abotu lagos later on cause my time is running low.
