We interrupt the football celebrations for a quick service announcement

I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that for the past three days I've been reccing music vids over at [info]oceanas_recs. Yep, that's right, back from the dead. I get up at 6 a.m. to have half an hour to watch and rec vids for you (and me). Don't say I never do anything for you!

I've also finally dared to take a look into my recs folder, and look, I have 114 fourteen unposted recs saved, some of them dating back to 2006! Where to start?

Tell me, from my list of old recs, which fandom would you like to see most?

Hey babe...

Just an FYI: Since we last spoke about NCIS, I have discovered the beauty of McGee/DiNozzo... *swoon*

Does that ship do anything for you, are you only into DiNozzo/Gibbs?

*hugs*
(and a Riptide icon cos I can ;P)

My heart will always be with Gibbs/DiNozzo, but I see the DiNozzo/McGee slash potential of the show. It's hard not to.
When it comes to NCIS, I read everything, slash, het, gen, as long as it's good. Sadly, even after five years, NCIS is still one of the fandom's with the most prominent bad writers that I know. I'm amazed at what kind of things are feedbacked and recced in that fandom on a regular basis.

There are some excellent writers, but all the really good multi-fannish writers seem to have skipped it. :-(

Yeah... shame, huh?

I read anything in it too, as long as it's good :) But I may now, one day, write Tony/Tim myself... which Tony/Gibbs didn't give me the required impetus to do... Hopefully I wont be among the bad!

:)

Tony/Gibbs can be rather tiresome with their stubborn refusal to approach each other or even kiss. I know, I've tried. That's why the few fics I wrote are all more or less established relationship. One day I will finish the first time fic after Gibbs leaves for Mexico. I just don't know if it will still be a first time fic when I finish it. ;-)

Yeah... They're a bit edgy for me, I don't think my writing is up to doing a good job of a relationship like theirs would be.

I could see myself producing a one-night stand kind of Tony/Gibbs story... It might even be good... But I don't think I'd feel good about it so I've stayed away.

How about some Doctor Who, then?

As I couldn't vote twice but the world does INDEED have a finite number of NCIS fics. Still, I want to READ them. Especially femslash, can you find me ANY NCIS femslash?

*bows deeply*

I'm afraid I'm still mostly searching for Gibbs/DiNozzo, in the hope of one day finding something good, but I posted the one small femslash NCIS rec I had saved just now.

Well, there is the NCIS/Mag7 crossover Montezuma, the NCIS/SPN crossover NCIS and the Haunted Computer, a Classic Gibbs/DiNozzo story and Gigolo which is still a WIP but it's by [info]kikkimax so all is good. That's not a lot new fic, is it?

Cool, I don't think I've read the crossover yet, thank you!

I actually have quite a lot of "new" NCIS fic saved on my HD, only I haven't had the time to write recs for it yet (some of it is recworthy, other..not so much). I have this huge folder with 100s of fics, most of which I have read when they were published, but then forgot to write recs for. One day, I will have a weekend without work or weddings, and I will read and read and read. And I already started sorting through the vid folder, so there's hope.

(it just occured to me, that this folder could be an excellent excuse to buy a new laptop, since mine did, and it'd be much easier to sort through all that fic via a laptop, riight?)
