Things are getting dicey under the mass media's faulty radar... This was the link to a brief summary of a special force geared to help with civil unrest: http://www.armytimes.com/news/2008/09/ar my_homeland_090708w It's dead now. This is what is posted at Democracy Now!: Army Unit to Deploy in October for Domestic OperationsBeginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.
I have seen quite a few stories either changed or outright deleted for no good reason. This by far scares me the most. |

They are lying to us as usual... Fed Speaking Out Both Sides Of MouthI have been watching the Fed drain money out of the system since '07. I'd like to know where did that money go? |

The markets are going insane, y'all... It is amazing to watch history being made right before one's eyes, frigthening as well. The rumors, the manipulation, the media only telling half the truth, the "election distraction"... we are headed for new territory and most won't recognize it. All I can do is watch, raise my family, and do what little I can to help. |

Back in power again... Talk about residuals from a hurricane! It's not unusual for the outer winds of a hurricane to reach us, but we usually get more than a splattering of rain we did get. Yesterday, we had wind gusts up to 70 mph. At 1:46P, the power in my area went out. Not a problem until I used my cheap, backup phone to call the power company. "We expect your service will be restore by 9a September 16th." Good thing we hadn't gone grocery shopping yet.
By 3:30p today, the power came on and I had never seen my children so happy before. They don't even get excited on Christmas Day. LOL! 500,000 are still without power and schools remain closed.
Imagine my surprise to get on the internet and the first thing that pops up was investment bank going belly up, another getting bought, and the stock markets going nuts. The next 2-3 years are going to be very interesting... |

Don is mad...and so am I Behind the scenes, barely covered by the media, the financial world is going absolutely nuts! Bottom line: the Housing Bill will end up costing more than the Iraqi War; this bill will cost more than the Savings & Loan bailout (which we are still paying for). We can't afford this war or this bill or whatever these people up for election are promising.
How many times are we going to bail out these multimillionaires' fuck-ups?

Party like it's 1929? The world of finance is in a tizzy right now and the mass media is downplaying the significance of it. The US-created IMF is now threatening to comb over the US's financial system. Oh boy, we are so screwed... |

Earthquake! An earthquake just hit my area, waking me up. Hubby thinks it was 4-4.5 on the Richter scale. The odd thing was, the bed still vibrated half a minute after hubby walked in to see me. |

One of those personality quizzes This one is from kc_anathema Which Classic Story Role Do You Play?
 - You Are The Outlaw "Sure, I'll do it. My way."
Just because you do not conform to the same laws and rules as everyone else does not mean that you are a bad guy. You travel your own path, separate from those around you, with your own reasons for doing what you do. Because of this and your own nature, it goes without saying that you are generally misunderstood. That does not matter much, though, as people love you for being who you are. You are pretty well set in your ways and have no real intention of changing. This can come across as a flicker of arrogance if your not careful. You do what is right for you, and God help anyone who stands in your way. Take this quiz!

Random is my preferred mindset My children are the personification of Goofus and Gallant from the old Highlights for Children magazine.
My life resembles the comic strip Baby Blues (and the old For Better or For Worse back when it was funny) so accurately it scares me (and my husband).
Yes, I am still buying silver coins and will spend most of my "helicopter money drop" from the gov't in May on more of it. Keep on toilet-papering the economy, you federal igits.
All of these presidential candidates are so full of shit, I cannot help but to laugh. They reaffirm my decision to tell both parties to "fuck off" when they beg for donations.
