[12 Oct 2008|08:49pm] liebemir [ mood | curious ] i spend half my life thinking, a quarter of it sleeping and a quarter of it writing. i spend most of my day dreaming about boys and girls who remind me of the sun, and the moon and the stars and sometimes they have saucer eyes and cornsilk hair and cupid's bows for mouths, and they speak in french, like my grandma kathy, and even though it sounds so beautiful, i can never understand a goddamn thing they're saying. so i was wondering if you would listen very carefully, by my side, and we can attempt to decipher their dialogue together. post comment

I play four instruments: piano, organ, guitar, and viola. I go to UCAS, an early college high school (so I am also concurrently enrolled at Utah valley University). I served as Junior Class President (07-08) and am currently serving as Student Body Vice President (08-09). I'm a huge nerd and I love to learn. I'm getting my AS in Mathematics in April 2009. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. They are the loves of my life. I'm not that interesting of a person, but I like to pretend that I am amazing. I tutor math and recently finished an internship at BYU's Chemistry department. Nerdy? I think so. I spend my free time wasting time. I like mostly everything, but I hate mostly everything at the same time. But, two of the things I can't get enough of: math math math math math math math movies I watch movies a lot. It's like being well read, but with movies. I have opinions on everything, but I seldomly share them. I listen to everything. I have 10,000+ songs on my iPod. Way to be. [12 Oct 2008|05:33pm] june5th I'm Jaimee, and 18 years of age. I'm incredibly shy but I'm wild. I'm insecure yet I have a lot of confidence. I love to sleep however I never have time. I'm loyal but I'm hard to hold down. My heart says one thing when my mind tells me another. I'm old enough to know yet young enough to not care. I'll never have the first word but always the last. I'm selfish at times even though I'll do whatever it takes to make everyone else happy. I'm simple, somehow no one has been able to figure me out. My life is characterized by; ridiculous spontaneity, laughing till I can hardly breathe, thousands of text messages, obsessive compulsive tendencies, an abundance of Arizona Green Tea, intellectuality, music with meaning, partaking in random adventures, vegetarianism, in depth conversations with and without substance, driving with a destination of no where, bodies being intertwined, dancing like an idiot everywhere i go, and a unintentional lack of sleep. I'm 20 and I'm starting college all over because I was originally an art student (animation to be more specific), but it didn't appeal to me once I got into it. But because of that, I do know some stuff about art. Now I'm thinking about getting into either psychology or English (That's right! Sticking to the humanities!) Let's see, what else? Ah! I listen to a variety of music. Some examples are Chopin, The Cab, Esthero, Imogen Heap, Cursive, The Mars Volta, Lily Allen, Mariah Carey, Rush, Suneohair, Lupe Fiasco. I have some nerdy interests as well which include anime, manga...and actually, that's mainly it. I'm horrible at games so I never really got into computer or video games, but props to you if you're good at that stuff. I have weird interests like the occult and hypnosis and other cool new-age philosophies that don't always make sense. And a random interest is fashion among all these. Mostly critiquing and drawing stuff-too poor and too lazy to really make it my lifestyle. Oh! And I love trying new foods. That's awesome. If you guys have anything you can recommend me that'd be brilliant. There are a lot of things I'm into. I'd be surprised if I couldn't find at least one thing I had in common with someone, not that you have to have things in common with me to add me. I actually hope I get some random people in there 'cause that's always fun! Anyway, like everyone here, I'm looking for an audience to listen in every now and then. I'm majoring in Political Science and minoring in European Union Studies and Arabic. I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do with all of that, but I know it'll involve traveling. I have seen far too little of the world. I curse like a sailor. I ask too many questions. I love baking cookies, sleeping in, and shenannigans of all sorts. I live in the future. They say a picture says a thousand words, but I'm a shit photographer. This is my attempt to document my college years via writing and learn a little bit more about the world at the same time. Fandoms: I'm not IN any fandoms but these are the shows/books/things I'm into: Torchwood, Dr. Who, Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies, Buffy, Angel, Star Trek, Star Wars, Gundam Wing (Yes, lame but I enjoyed it's vapidness), DBZ, Sailor Moon, Death Note (movies not anime or manga), Naruto (first season only), Harry Potter and other assorted dorky things. I'm not so much into anime anymore so I have no clue about the new anime shows out there and I don't have a TV so I can't watch a lot of newer shows unless they're on YouTube or if a friend has DVDs. Summary: New journal, but not new to LJ. I abandoned my old journal years back and just now decided to give it a go again. Basically I'm looking for people interested in TV, Movies, Books and more importantly interested in discussing those things since my entries will probably mostly be about shows I watch and crap like that. I'm not comfortable sharing my personal life too much online so I'll be keeping my journal as neutral as possible except when an event begs to be written about and I have crazy ass jobs so that may happen more than I think. I'm also not very good on commenting on other people's lives so if your journal is a lot of personal stuff I might not comment very much. I'll probably READ but I may not comment just because I never know what to say! When it comes to serious topics I prefer to keep my opinions focused on fandom type things. And that's me. I'm starting this journal over again, I thought it seemed like it was time for a change. I'm a pretty simple and easy going person, I enjoy befriend all sorts of people but it's nice to have open-minded friends. I don't care if we have similar interests or if they're completely opposite. I enjoy photography, mainly wildlife photography and I do post pictures I take in my journal, I get a pretty positive response from people. In my journal I do talk about slightly more alternative things, things not consider "normal" by society, if you don't think this will bother you then please add me! I don't care about your age, whether you're 13 or going on 40+ years old. I get along with all sorts of people. I don't drink much and I don't do any drugs but I don't care if you do, I do talk about sex in my journal but I put it behind a cut and warn you. I can get a little graphic in my entries on occasion but this isn't the main focus in my journal. My main focus is just my day to day life, boring or not, that's what I talk about. Anyone out there III? [07 Oct 2008|08:29am] hiro_antagonist Hi, I'm Hiro. Hobbies? I have too many! No, but seriously, I enjoy a multitude of things, reading, writing, photography, fine art, oil painting, philosophy, formal logic, math theory, level design for computer games and a few aspects of medicine (anatomy and neuroscience). Phew! I'm currently finishing my last year of college, which is a good thing, because after eight years of it, you're either insane or you're a university professor. Not wanting to be a professor, it seemed like a good time to pick something and stick with until I got one of those fancy pieces of paper. In my spare time, I work as a photographer (see user icon / self-portrait for an example), design levels for video games and dream of owning my own game development studio one of these days...
