So this past weekend was the Seattle Proscout event (the one I was invited to several months ago).
I managed to clear all three stages/reviews Runway, Photo and Monologue, and moved on to the last stage. Agency interviews! I actually wasn't expecting much, I was using this as a learning experience to prep me for Japan and possibly my future. There were about 40 top agencies from around North America including Ford, MGM, Click, Liz bell and others! But I' was well aware going into the second day that my height is a huge disadvantage for those types of modeling agencies - Proscout are brutally honest but also very helpful and guiding.
But I did have one call back from the agency that discovered Chad-Michael Murray, but since I’m moving to Japan next month, and the agency is in LA and more focused on actors this will remain a future prospect (he took my good black and white photo for reference if i were to call him again)! Thanks to Proscout I am even more determined than before to make my dreams come true; and not just in modeling, acting and entertainment in general. I gained a lot of knowledge and of course CONFIDENCE! I’ll definitely be going back again once my working holiday is over!
(PS- a Canadian girl from Kelowna got the most call backs; 16 agencies!!! GO CANADA!!! )

I was also sinced offered a chance to work with a well known MUA in the Vancouver area, possibly sometime next week (before japan obviously), on a creative make up shoot, free! gotta love TF shoots with well established professionals!

Even better I was able to manage my pain with pot pills/cesamet alone, no t3's needed this time! AWESOME!! maybe it was partially the adrenaline and the stress of preforming in front of the agencies this morning helped distract from the pain, but even the pain level now seems not bad considering im sore and sick anyway. im at like a level 4 rn instead of my normal 6, mind you i spent most of my time sitting and listening to seminars but yus anyway im happy with this improvement! more yoga tomorrow too!

Personal Reasons for Applying for a Working Holiday Visa

My name is Kristy; I'm 23 years old. My spare time goes into modeling, karaoke, writing novels, reading, watching Asian dramas. I love Asian cultures, especially Japanese. I am currently learning the Japanese language, and have been learning the language for about 8 years now, completely self-taught.

Understandably I am unable to fully grasp the language by myself, so I plan to improve my Japanese language skills during my stay in Japan. My listening skills of the language are actually above average but my biggest hurdle is communicating verbally and learning to read kanji. And I’ve been told the best way to improve my Japanese accent is practice, practice, practice in emersion.

I have been to Japan twice now, and both times were emotionally moving and life changing for me. During my first stay in Higashi Tokorozawa I remember thinking how at first Japan reminded me a lot of Canada, with all the lush greenery like BC; a simply beautiful country.

The initial reason for my 2008 trip to Japan was my love for Kanjani8 (関ジャニ∞); I was lucky enough to see them in concert at Kyocera dome. Even though they are idols thousands of miles from Canada, they reached me with their laughs and music, to the point where I felt I should support them in person. But the trips to Japan have become so much more than a fangirl experience to me now.

During my most recent trip to Kyoto I fell in love with the community and the people of Japan. When I am showered with compliments and locals encourage me to come back to Japan to pursue my happiness, I feel like I can do anything.

For the longest time I didn't like how I looked, and I honestly thought I was ugly. It's only been recently that I've learned to love myself and finally actually believe people when they tell me I'm gorgeous.
Part of me wants to do this for my past self that used to hate the way she looked and let people walk all over her and every bully that ever dragged me down. But I also want others to find self-esteem like I have, and chase their dreams and pursue knowledge, never giving up when things are hard.

So I would like to try some part time modeling/acting/industry work in Japan. I have a good chunk of experience now, I've done prosthetics and runways work here in Vancouver. As well as professional workshops and photo-shoots; so I'm always looking to outdo previous shots and improve my portfolio. And if I could have a chance to possibly work with other creative and talented individuals from around the world, I would be forever humbled by each experience.

Right so, my original vlog i recorded yesterday was corrupted because my digital camera battery died in the middle of recording and thus it corrupted the file. made things very difficult for me, so i just recorded a whole new VLOG this evening.

medical uses aside (anything that treats pain and nausea is a plus in my books):
-apply the right taxes = more money for the countrys which legalize it and controls both buyer and sellers. drug dealers should pay taxes like any normal working person.
-controlled substance = less likely to be laced, better/cleaner quality products
-and really how much harm can someone high on pot do in comparison to someone who is drunk? if your high your more likely to sit on the couch and laugh at nothing instead of harassing or abusing people.
-statistically more people have died from alcohol and tobacco than maruijuana which has a record of guess what? ZERO DEATHS, while alcohol and tobacco kill millions each day and its perfectly legal and taxed and regulated. explain that one. everything in moderation i say.

i've always thought pot should be legalized, even BEFORE i tried it for the first time.
