FFXIV in 2010, oh my GOD! That means that the FFXIII release date won't be pushed back to the fall/winter either :D I am totally ready for the next SE MMO, I have my life in my hands and will gladly throw it away, please take it SE!!! :p
Sony conference was definately the best this E3 and thank god because they really needed it. Nintendo was incredibly pathetic again, it's really truely sad to see people buying into their crap. Microsoft was also great, same as the last few years. Both sony/ms motion control stuff was... weird.
2009 has some great games coming but it's incredible what is already planned for 2010. FFXIII, FXIV, ME2, GoW3, GoW3 (no typo! :p), Alan Wake... and I am forgetting all the 'good' games, just mentioning the must-buys for me... damn ;O

09:30 pm - Valkyria Chronicles and the resurrection of Mcclane
After offloading all my items and basicly giving up I received an email from SuTo Corporation (the place you can buy jp money to use for FFXI) and they managed to get 2000 yen to me (their site said they were sold out) so I could pay on time. After that FFXI wouldn't load for me cause my PC was fucked. After a format and reinstall I can now login again ^^/ now SE can take my money once more, yay!
Valkyria Chronicles
Took me 2 months to complete this game because somehow I can't find the time to play games anymore, I've got to get my priorities in order! Need to play more! Here, have a mini-review:
* A very original game both in presentation and gameplay, both very very well done.
* Excellent voice action and music.
* Story is also very well done but the good guys are overly nice, especially the main character.
* Because of the niceness of all characters (even bad guys) it misses a serious tone, which an epic story needs, the characters are waaaay too happy most the time.
* Most of the game is presented with the characters talking to eachother through windows which only shows their heads, I missed the feeling of actually being 'there' a little because of the lack of 3d environments, the few cutscenes which are presented in a more 3d manner are really sweet and look beautiful
* Gameplay is kind of hard to explain but as a turned based strategy fan I loved it, the battles were very well balanced, never got too easy and at times pretty hard, battles can take up to 2-3 hours sometimes :p
* Overall great game, all my complaints are minor except that I really liked the story to be a bit less childish/sunshiny~ish

Can't seem to login anymore. I get a message saying my content ID's are almost expired and I need to pay before the end of the month. Not sure if they blocked it already but even if they didn't I don't have any way I can pay them.
CC's won't work (only JP ones I think) and the workaround for webmoney is a no go because the company that provides the service is out of JP funds and will restock in 1/2 weeks.
Soo... yea, I rarely played but it still stinks I have to go out because of the stupid SE payment stuff. Guess I'll comfort myself with the thought that I wouldn't have time to play anyway, if I say it to myself often enough I'll start to believe it!

Anyone know how to record stuff from your ps3 and/or xbox with Dazzle? What kind of software do you use? Pinnacle Studios that comes with it doesn't work for me. No errors but also a black preview screen and pressing record doesn't do anything soooo... anyone that can help me with this?

Appearantly I can't change my CC info anymore, I get an error when trying it. It's very likely because I have an JP account. Other people have had the same problem and a 'solution' is described here www.ffxi-europe.com but it's a lot of trouble and you'd have to repeat it sooo I dunno... maybe Mcclane is gonna be dead soon ; ;
Anyone here have any info about this or any info about if/when my JP account would be canceled can I ever get it back again?

12:47 am - Just finished MGS4
Damn... what a game. I guess it's more like an interactive movie than a game but I really don't mind :p
I watched the metal gear retrospective on gametrailers before I started (twice!) and even again during my playtime. Since I missed the previous metal gear games I wanted to know the story before starting this game. Since those retrospective videos are awesome I had a good understanding of who was who in the metal gear universe.
Gameplay wise it seems to be sort of the same as previous games but with a bit more freedom on how you get from point A to B. I sneaked a lot, used my tranqualizer darts and died a lot :p However this game is not about the gameplay, how weird that may sound. The boss fights were awesome and the gameplay itself is good but of the 20 hours I spend on this game I think I was watching cutscenes for at least 10 hours.
The graphics, sound, music and whole presentation is all top quality and the story itself is one of the deepest I've seen in gaming yet. Both story and gameplay could be annoying at times but overall it was just awesome, especially comparing it to how stories in games usually are. Because of the amount of story this game isn't for anyone, it's too hardcore and niche for that but for those looking for an epic story it's a must buy. Not to compare games or even stories but the 'epicness' of the MGS story can stand up against those of the FF games in my books. It's also a very mature story, it has subtle hints, doesn't explain everything too easily and tries to send some real life messages about war and how bad it is :p The only (little) complaints of mine would be the same as if I'd judge a movie, meaning it would be about taste.
Wasn't really meaning the write a whole review but I sort of did I guess, oh well, luckily nobody reads my LJ :p If however you did, I recommend this game to you!
P.S. ACT 3 was the coolest shit evah!

* Bought a ps3 with MGS4, Uncharted, VC and HS, also bought BD and ES for the xbox, all cheap so fuck it :p
* Finished Uncharted, my ps3 crashed twice while playing it <_< thinking of doing MGS4 next
* My uncharted review: Great story/characters, altho cliche it's presented nicely, gameplay is ok but after GoW2 noone does the 3rd person action as good as that, uncharted 2 yesplz!
* Finished Mirror's Edge on PC, great game but the gameplay does get boring even tho the style/animation is all cool
* Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II is the best thing since warcraft 3!! I'm addicted to the multiplayer beta and I invite anyone to come co-op with me, this shit is awesome!
* Mass Effect 2 and FFXIII both coming in 2010, best year of gaming evah!! :p (and fuck EA for Dragon Age release date postponing till Q4 2009)
* As you can tell I've got way too many games to play so I'll be good for a couple of months ^^;

What is the difference between the 40gb and the 80gb version? I can get the 40gb of someone for 100 euros cheaper but I dun wanna miss any features when I would finally buy a ps3 soo... any difference? and 40 gb is enough for game installs I assume?
Also, which games to buy with it... I might only buy Uncharted for now, Killzone 2 next month and that'll be a nice FPS I can play solo (which gow2 isn't suited for). Any games you'd recommend? would MGS 4 be any fun for someone who has zero MGS background and doesn't like weird japanese anime stuff? :P

Lost S5 opening was awesome, I love the explanations that are given, altho it's sci-fi it is really believable and it's hard to find any faults in the storyline. Funny to see on some forums how people can't grasp the idea of time as explained in the show, I get it tho! well, at least what was explained until now :o

Holy damn shit fuck, I loved having BSG back again, great first episode. Too bad only 9 episodes are left. Hopefully Lost is going to kick some serious ass just as BSG and 24. So now I'm bored... someone recommend me a great game to play ;o

* NA FFXIII confirmed for 2010 after April, was to be expected but it's nice to know I guess
* Other then SO3 are there any other JRPGs planned for 2009? T.T JRPG's are dying ; ;
* GoW 2 wingman mode still awesome but playing on my own... kinda meh, fix the damn matchmaking!
* FFXI is completely dead to me I'm afraid
* Cool games out soon: Dragon Age (I hope), Resident Evil 5, Riddick and some maybes ;o
* Killzone 2 looks great but I think I'll hold off on buying a ps3 for a bit longer, but I can see me changing my mind :p maybe during the end of this year when Uncharted 2 comes out
Tv-show
* Damn midseason break, I need my Lost, House and other shows now!!
* JAG was one of the best series ever, it's spin-off NCIS also, next spin-off, we'll soon find out!
* Prison Break ending this season, good decision, it was fun but it needs to end now
* Battlestar Galactica last season starting today, probably for the best but it was an awesome ride
* Jack Bauer is back baby!!! woohoo ^^/ kiefer sutherlands is so cool, alrdy an unexpected twist which I didn't know probably cause I avoided watching most previews
Real life bullshit
* Applied for 3 jobs, turned one down, one still needs to call back and last interview is today
* I miss the time when I had no job, no future and was playing FFXI constantly, that was awesome
* As a young individual I should be excited to start (continue) my career, fuck that :p
* Having no future planned had me much less worried then now when I have chance, that's weird, but luckily I'm also weird :)
