Blargh.
Last Wednesday night/early Thursday morning, Ricardo's car got broken into. They bashed out his window and took his backpack. They probably assumed there was something valuable in the backpack, like an mp3 player or a laptop. It contained neither. It had homework and psychology books. He then realized his high school transcripts were in the notebook, which contain his social security number. He was a nervous wreck for the entire day (Friday). We had driven out to Hermiston to get his car fixed and all the way back (it's about 3 and half hours each way). When we got back to Portland, I told him he could apply to change his social security number. Of course, he thought I was just lying to make him feel better until his mom told him the same, and then he felt better.
Sunday, we drove up to Olympia/Lacey, WA so he could compete in a MTG tournament. I hung out with Jenny in Olympia until the evening, when Ricardo decided he wanted me to come watch him in the tournament. There were soooo many nerds! One dude has his poop stained butt crack showing all night, another dude had a male camel toe, another kept picking his nose and eating his boogers, and this other dude looked just like shia labeouf. It was awesome seeing "adults" cry. Rico ended up placing 8th. I had a lot of fun.
ANYWAY, this post was pointless.
oh yeah! KITTENS!
