I need to stop being cynical. At least, openly. I don't want to be perceived as a big downer --I don't think it's come to that yet, I hope!-- especially at work! When did I get so negative anyway? It's sort of toxic to be this way. I mean, I don't think it's affecting my well-being. Is it? This is brought on by the fact that I'm applying for jobs--in customer service, no less, HA!--and looking at resume samples with lines like "highly enthusiastic, energetic individual" or my favorite: "...with a positive attitude!" Should I lie? I'm fairly pleasant. Can you put a good twist on highly critical individual with high standards and/but realistic expectations?
