No one has written in a long time. Bonnie did. But other than that my comics have pretty much been the only thing on my friends page for a while. So I'm going to write.
I graduate this quarter! Just wrapping up a couple of sociology classes to round out my minor and some extra voice lessons with the totally badass Dr. Blaisdell. She's kicking my ass and it's marvelous. I had my senior recital which went surprisingly well for how terrified I was. I just wish mainly that I'd projected better.
I'm moving to Bellevue the first week of August. I'll see you when I get there! Can't wait to get back to more civilization, but very sad to leave all the wonderful souls I've met here.
Possible job/internship/volunteer prospects with Friends of Youth, The Old Firehouse, and the Vera Project.
Other than that, um.. I love fish? To hang with, not to eat. Oh.. and I want a corgi.

From today's Stranger issue:
Speaking of damaged hatchlings cast into terrifying worlds they cannot comprehend, today brings news of Nebraska's controversial "safe haven" law, which, as CBS reports, is almost exactly like every other state's safe-haven law, permitting parents who "can't care for a newborn to drop him or her off at a 'safe haven,' such as a hospital, firehouse, or police station." The one difference: Nebraska's new statute allows parents to drop off kids up to 17 years old, and today brought the desertion of 11 children ages 1 to 17, including nine from one family, at Nebraska hospitals. CBS also reports three boys (aged 11, 12, and 15) and one girl (13) abandoned at hospitals and police stations in recent weeks. According to Todd Landry, director of Nebraska's Children and Family Services, nearly every case of abandonment has involved parents who decided they didn't want to be parents anymore. "It was the parents not wanting to continue the journey with their kids," Landy told CBS, adding that kids abandoned under the safe-haven law are generally placed in protective custody while the courts decide where the child should live.

Today I took Dweezil in for a rabies vacc and to check out his leg. Vet says it looks like he got his pelvis broken as a pup (probably by the people who abused him), so he's gonna need surgery in the next year. Yucky. My birthday is coming up. Donate to the "Make Dweezil Walk Good" fund instead of buying me drinks?
Otherwise: I turn 21 August 25th. I'm thinking about coming to visit Seattle and PDX too, but I dunno. I may be poor. We'll figure something out. Away!

We're planning on suing for damages my mommy suffered at the hands of American Behavioral Health Systems in Spokane. Google ABHS Spokane. There's an article all about of bunch of it. Apparently the state did a shitty investigation, because it's still happening. This could end up a class action suit. Ideas?

As of the first week of April-ish, Red Bull is suing a small Polish children's charity run by volunteers for using the phrase "give children wings" in its slogan. Assholes? I think so. Now major investors are calling off deals because they want their money to go to children, not legal fees. This is also true of local donors

I just made amazing soup and wanted to share. With just whatever was in my kitchen. Sweet potatoes, chicken broth, tomatoes, garlic, red lentils, onion, spices (garam masala, cayenne, curry powder, pepper, salt, brown sugar, honey). I pureed half of it and put it back in so it was thicker. It's badass. But I have LOTS of it, so come over and eat some. Seriously. I'm home cleaning and reading Garrison Keillor.

1)Moving in with Steven. Looks like a girl needs someone to take over her lease. If we do, all the deposits are PAID. That's like $1800 saved cuz the pet dep. is paid too!! It's a two bedroom: GUEST ROOM!!
2) Getting a doggy. Shelter doggy. No puppies.
3)My sister turns 19 on the first, and graduates HS about a month after. GO LEXY! Which means she can move out of that house. Which is way more important to life than graduating.
4)Choral concert on the 11th! That's a Sunday! 4pm! Come!
5) Does anyone have any neat furniture that they don't want? Or lamps? Or other nonsense? Swap meet!
6) Firefly is a badass show. Pirate western in space? Sounds lame. Is awesome.
7) I've recently become very fashionable. Weird.
That's all, I think. It's not very interesting. But it's happening.
