Oh, dear.
So yesterday I had to take my baby (my cute little Nissan Maxima) to the shop cos her brakes weren't working. $200 later, the mechanic took me aside and told me, "Jess, your car is going to need more work in the near future."
My look? Utter shock.
So I spoke to my dad and he agreed to co-sign a loan for me so I can buy a new car! Shock of the century, right?
So I've been looking at new cars and I'm probably going to buy this. I'm really excited, especially since the Fit:
1. Rocks on gas and is
2. Aesthetically pleasing (a better way for me to say "OMG SO CUTE"). ah, what the hell, it's
3. OMG SO CUTE!
So my brother and I are going Fit shopping tomorrow, yay!
Not to change the subject, but WTF is up with all these tornado warnings that the tri-state region has been getting lately? We've been having some weird weather on Long Island, but tornado warnings? We haven't had one of those in YEARS! There's a tornado warning in Rockland right now...crazy.

This has just been a very strange week.
My favorite Ohio-an came out to visit me and that made my week. We went to the city Tuesday night and wandered around Times Square. We went to Pinkberry and found out what the hype was all about - it was good!
Then we went to the Ginger Man and had a couple of drinks and met up with Sabrina and Adrian, two of Graham's friends. It was awesome and then we went to another bar and got obliterated.
The highlight of the night was falling asleep on the train and completely missing our stop and ending up in SPEONK. For TWO hours. I was not thrilled, but poor Graham helped me keep my sanity.
Now I miss him. Hopefully he makes a cameo appearance when his mom and sister decide to come visit Long Island.
As for everything else...I've been bumming around on the beach when we haven't had insane Midwestern-like thunderstorms. And reading a lot - next up on the list is David Carr's new book, when I have the extra $20 to spare.
And I have to buy a new car next week. Good to know that I needed one sooner.../end_sarcasm.
