ever since i made an anti-sasuke colorbar, i've been on an icon rampage with naruto. it's ridiculous fun coloring these mangas and making characters say retarded, perverse things. anyway, here's a batch. i haven't made icons in like 2-3 years, so sorry if these suck;

Streets of Nippon, part 6/?
characters: Atobe, as usual. Kajimoto, various members of SeiRu and Rikkai.
wordcount: about 4750
genre: SF. Possibly a soap opera. The author is not quite sure. -_-
notes: In which there are meetings, meetings and more meetings, Fuji has Brother Issues, and Rikkai D1 steals the show. As usual.
(Never mind that keeping Fuji Syuusuke from doing exactly as he pleased was about as effective as - well, trying to stop Keigo from doing exactly as he pleased.)
Quick rundown of the Shin Tokyo AU for people who are unfamiliar with it and may be wondering where to begin. It's a cyberpunk-inspired science fiction story, with various schools as rival gangs in a neo-Tokyo of the twenty-fifth century.
So far there are two main stories in the arc:
The Forming of the Sixth
8000 words, one-shot fic. Set a year before Streets of Nippon. It's a Hyoutei story, mainly focused on Oshitari and Taki. Probably a bit easier to follow than the main Streets of Nippon arc, and can pretty much be read on its own.
Streets of Nippon
The main Shin Tokyo story, with six chapters (and a sidefic) so far. Fairly epic, involves just about every character from the pre-Nationals canon. Mainly focused on Rikkai, Hyoutei and Seigaku and the conflicting interests of the various runner syndicates with one another - and with the established authorities. Chapter 1 is here.

I have been checking out the MMO Wonderland and have been wishy-washy about it ... until now. Because I have created the character Jailbait from the little-boy-with-puppy-on-head template.
His shorts are just so. Short.
I guess this means I'll be playing it a bit. Until I get bored, anyway.
Meanwhile, I am beginning to seriously hate writing D1 fics. |

I've learned a retarded amount about myself in only the past few weeks. Things came and went, things came and returned, and some things never actually changed - I only believed they had. And, in the end, I hope that I come out better for it all. And I hope the people around me do, as well.
To my friends - I know that in the past ... I'd say year, two years, I have grown into a bit of a stranger. I've lost that strange happy-go-lucky resolve I always had and adopted a bit of a cynical attitude mixed in with the ability to snip and get annoyed easily. This was never something I liked. Ever. It didn't seem strong enough that anyone would approach me on it, though, except for those in extremely close relationships with me - significant others and parents, specifically. And, now, in the event of almost losing the boy that means so much to me, I took so much time to re-evaluate everything I was to my friends and family. And for neglecting the personality traits of mine that were pushing others away, I apologize. Wholeheartedly. That's to my mom, to the people here in Orlando, to those back in Bradenton and Sarasota, the Chess cast, the friends with whom I've lost touch, the friends I'm beginning to get to know. All of them. To you, I apologize for never giving the entirety of myself to you and instead reserving it and hoping my flaws would be overlooked.
To Luke - we've had a rocky relationship. It was very strong for the majority, but the mistakes that were made created a scenario almost unable to be salvaged. For this past week, we have been apart; relationship-wise, physically, emotionally. We were both single, for all intents and purposes, and it was an eye-opener. For all the times I'd pushed you away or snapped or was defensive or started stupid little fights, it made me realize that all the times you warned me that your patience was being pushed, I should have seen it and complied. And even though I will never completely change myself for someone, and I still will not, you made me finally clench down on those things I'd always disliked in me and given me the motivation to really see it through. Thank you. And thank you for giving us another chance.
To myself - woo, what a trip! Your flaws are becoming stronger within your personality. In high school, they were flaws that were okay to be ignored; now, they're becoming so relied upon that you're no longer someone you want to be. Be yourself again. Start acting like yourself. Don't deny people because of your fears. Don't become defensive because you're so scared of what they think of you. Hold on to that optimism. Don't let those who don't want you to be that way stop you; it's not their life, and it's not their risks. Be grateful for those in your life, all of them, from your boyfriend to your best friends to your parents to the new acquaintances. Everyone can shine some life on you, so let them. And be proud to associate and be their friend. They're the best things for you.
To everyone - please, if I've wronged you, or if you want to talk with me over something in your life, contact me. By phone, by AIM, in-person, whatever you need. If I wasn't there for you or was unfair to you, tell me. I want to make up for what I've done. I know we all make mistakes, and I know that in all of my relationships (romantic or otherwise), that it always takes two to create it. I will never go to Luke and say, "It's all my fault, all of it!" because I know otherwise. But I can acknowledge when I've messed up, and I have. Not just to him, but to all of you. And, also, I beg of you, if I act a way you don't agree with, slap me on the wrist some! Don't be afraid of hurting me or of my reaction. Tell me! I always have an ear to listen with, and a shoulder to cry on.
I love you guys. So much. More than you'll ever really, truly know.

hi, i'm in the process of changing my layout but i can't seem to figure out how to get my friends' entries to line up with the entry box. they seem to stretch out too wide to fit inside the parameters of the box.. if that makes sense. i'm using a layout for the s2 smooth sailing preset. any advice would be greatly appreciated. :) |

Summary: Kaidoh was found as a baby by seven men living in the woods and was raised by them. He is now eighteen, and a prince has stumbled into his home, but that creates more problems as a certain people become aware of Kaidoh's existance - people who will do anything to keep Kaidoh from becoming more than a fairytale.
