i have been trying to rest mostly today. i went to the farmer's market today and tried my first persimmon. the first one i tried was chalky and not so good and sean told me that it wasn't a ripe one. so i kept tasting samples of persimmons until we found a stand with good ones. then i bought two and ate one as soon as we got back to the house. i ate it right away because when i put my carrots in the bag one of them stabbed one of the persimmons. i didn't realize until just now that paul simon is maybe short for persimmon. one richard persimmons. i also got dried pluots and sugar snap peas and corn cobs. it is good for the soul to know that as long as i have been alive i stil haven't tried all the fruits there are to try and if life starts to feel tedious i can just try a new fruit and feel good again. i also bought a new amp today and a mic stand. so the rest of the shows i will be amped. amped. you know? jazzed. i took david and bibbe and sean out to dinner tonight. i ran into jason schwartzman and zooey deschanel. they showed me pictures of their new puppies. super cute french bulldog puppies. they talked about the puppies peeing on the floor. i told them how i stepped in kid pee a couple weeks ago. i have met jason a couple times before and he is always super nice. zooey is super nice too. they are both huggers. we all know how much i love me a hugger. after dinner we came back to the house and i rested until it was time for my new favorite WB show, jack and bobby, to come on. while i relazed david sang songs in the living room and that was nice. then i got in bed and watched the show. i fell asleep watching it though. then scotty from the pharmacy called me and woke me up. every night someone calls and wakes me up. it kinda stinks to get woken up, but it is always someone i want to talk to. and i really like sleepy phone conversations when i am all sleepy in bed. we talked for a long time. he told me about a fruit i never had before that smells like an ass but tastes really good. i will hafta try that one on a really sad day. tuesday he turns 21. he is having his birthday party at chuck e. cheese's. the same one i had my 21st birthday party at almost 11 years ago. pretty neat. it was so crummy out today. tomorrow it better be like summertime here in summertimeland. jeez. oh yeah, david went for a walk today and was walking past a gay club and there was a lounge band in silk shirts covering "who's got the crack?" for the people having lunch. he said the singer looked like enrique iglesias. that's the big time. when well groomed dudes in silk are covering your shit for the lunch crowd. fuck yeah. i am going to take some vitamins and brush my teeth and go back to bed. i am going to try to stay in bed until at least 9:30. we'll see about that. i think a lot of sleep is all that is going to get all this snot out of my head. and some sunshine. tomorrow i hope it is sunny. please tomorrow. help a sister out.
