my mom
hey everyone. my mother is having surgery at 11:30am Pacific time today to have 2 brain tumors removed. her docs say it is a pretty basic procedure, but it would still be nice if you could all keep her in your thoughts. thank you.

	kimya, i'll keep your lovely funny beautiful mama in my thoughts today. and at 2:30 EST i will play "my mom" and sing along really loud. which probably sounds silly but when i do little things like that i feel like it might help somehow. and really it's all i can do. that's a great picture, too. i've been thinking about your mom ever since you talked about her on sunday in urbana. i hope she's well after today, and no more tumors. (i'm alyce, the one who gave you a certain dangley winged kitty/panda gift.) it was a really magical show. tell ange and l'orchidee that they were AMAZING too. i got there early and watched them practice. we drove three hours from st. louis, mo and it was a fun little road trip. i hope to see and hug you again asap. it was booberific. I'll be thinking of your mom and yourself and hoping for a quick recovery. I'm so sad that I missed your show in Chicago. I just plum wrote down the wrong date in my little calendar and have a lot going on, and I was so disappointed today when I went online to get info for the show and realized...it was last night. I hope you had a fantastic time in Chicago and that the audience showed you all the friendliness and love this city can offer. I will do a much better job catching you next time, I hope.
