last night was a total nightmare. i think i need to buy a new guitar today. old whitey is fuuucked. bah humbug.

shows have been added at the end of this tour in eugene and portland.

i can't believe we are already on our way to urbana. this tour is flying by.

key kimya...just wondering...it's likely you've already toured Canada, and i somehow missed it. But if you haven't, do you think maybe you perhaps could sometime? And if you already did, and it wasn't so bad the first time, maybe you could come by again someday? we love you up here. Just last summer, at an anarchist bookfair in Victoria, about 50 of us were sleeping on the beach and drinking around a fire and someone had a guitar and we were all singing your songs. I know you're busy and all, and likely overwhelmed at the thought, but maybe someday? (if it was in any way inappropriate to post that here, or if i was too forward or rude in my request, i sincerely apologize) Thank you!

I don't know if anyone has told you this but...on Thursday I saw Ben Kweller and before he played Sha Sha he talked about you...he was talking about how happy he was for you and tried to sing the background vocals like you did :) it was great!

if this helps, she knew someone who works at Big Fun! i saw them there before the show and bella's mom had one of the guys who works there "babysit" bella while she ran to the car. and it was cute, because the guy goes up to her after the mom left and goes, "i'm going to have to ask you to leave. you have to have a parent in here with you" and bella crossed her arms and frowned. it was cute :O)

I was very excited to have purchased 2 tickets to your concert at the Cedar Cultural Center in Minneapolis. I was looking forward to finally seeing you in person. However, my family was worried about me. I'm newly divorced, and deep in greeving for the loss of my marriage as well as my mother. (Mom passed away in August.) Sorry for posting all this public, but I'm not ashamed of who I am.

In any case, I won't be able to pick up my tickets at the window - because my family has taken me home to Iowa. I haven't had a chance to find a friend who can take them from me. So, I'm offering them to you - perhaps you can find a deserving soul who would appreciate those tickets. I would love to know someone enjoyed them - its on me!

Kimya - strange question - but me and my wife are hoping to see you when you come down to Melbourne, and I've read that you tend to take Panda along with you - so I was wondering, would it be cool to have a kid with us? He's 2 and change, and he's very well behaved, but we've never really experimented with taking him to live events.. soo.. yeah. Thoughts? :)

saw you last night in Milwaukee - kick aaaasssssss

Although - I totally heard you on people only coming because they heard of you through Juno - and that was my biggest worry about seeing you at the Pabst (I was at your rooftop show two years ago and also went to several Moldy Peaches shindigs).

Worry true, I was surrounded by high schoolers the entire show - some were bored out of their minds during Ange and L'orchidee D'Hawaiis' performances (because it wasn't you) - some were even talking on their fucking cell phones... and the girls behind me were the ones that kept on screaming how cute you are... which you are... but it didn't have to be said every five seconds (no exaggeration... through all three sets all I could hear was, "oh my god, that's sooooooo cute. He's soooo cute. She's sooooo cute." I shot several annoyed glares with my eye pistols.


sorry... that's my beef with that. I really loved everything that was happening on stage - Ange was overwhelmingly charming, L'Orchidee D'Hawaii was awesome and you were amazing as always.

I couldn't help but wonder how you personally feel about the change from small, intimate shows to having a whole theater? The sound quality was definitely better and I'm sure you're much more comfortably accommodated for (especially with the babe)... but how do you like it overall?

The whole sitting thing was a little bonk... The sweet family that was dancing in front of the stage with the little ones you loved... they were told by security to sit down a couple of times before you came out.

That's it I guess... loved you and loved the show... and talked to Ange and not-so-little Panda as they walked around afterward (she's getting so big!). You are a truly blessed woman to have such wonderful family and friends. I hope you come to Milwaukee again sometime soon.

Also, I hope your mother is doing well.

First of all, one girl stood by me and sang really loud, which i hate. i mean i paid to come and see the bands and kimya sing, not some freaky little girl. then i started to think that kimya wouldn't judge so i shouldn't. but i'm selfish, and would love it if half the people weren't there either. i also wanted to tell kimya that i agree with the tug between being a mommy and doing what you love. she should do what's right for her cuz she's the only one that has to answer to herself. you don't win if you try to do too much.
