soooooo sorry portland
I can't make it today for the show at Music Millenium. Ange got REALLY sick yesterday and today he hasn't been able to get out of bed. Then in the middle of the night Panda woke up crying with a fever. She has been fussy and clingy and sleeping or nursing on and off since. It is too cold and crappy too take them out of the house. And it is too far away to go without them. Sick little baby needs the boobs all the time.

I am working on rescheduling. I will tell you asap when it will be, and I will try to plan more than one show for that day.

I will come down there and play a show sooooooooooon.

I know I always get horribly sick after I get home after traveling, it's like my body finally feels like it can relax.

I hope Ange and Panda feel better very soon!

on the plane from chicago to seattle we were behind a kid who puke a bunch of times on the flight. i think he must've had some awful flu. sucks ass.

Hope everyone gets better so we can give you some love before you leave p-town. Buffy Saint Marie is the shiz, you are totally right. I think one of her songs is in the movie Billy Jack but I'm not sure. I saw the sign at the door and was crossing my fingers you'd reschedule :) . I hope everyone is feeling wonderful asap, because being sick is no fun. Eat lots of oranges and grapefruits- vitamin C is amazing!

I was so sad when I got to Music Millenium and saw that you had cancelled due to illness. I was really worried, everyone was.

Also! Saw the article on you in the Oregonian today! You're becoming a big shot! I remember the days when you were an underground legend! Awww, little Kimya's growing up!

i went into the hospital this morning for a spiked fever 102.5, delirious. my entire family came down with it too, and my friend's baby is sick right now with it. their too little to handle this, i mean i'm eighteen and i actually hospitalized myself

!!! I'm stoked to actually get to see you..Yesterday the brakes on my bike went out when I was trying to get there, resulting in an epic bike crash and me dislocating my thumb...THEN I accidentally ended up at Everyday Music instead and thought, "aw, hell, I guess I'll just have to miss it".
But I am very sorry that your loved ones are not feeling well, I'm sure you will take very good care of them :]

I'm a relatively new fan (yeah, I discovered you through Juno like the rest of us who have no culture where we live and just NOW realized the Moldy Peaches connection), and I just wanted to say, I got the wild hair tonight to look you up. I'd imagined a mousy looking white girl, or a scrawny folky with the stereotypical look thereof, and so I had quite a shock when I went on a google image search frenzy.

I never did figure out which friend (I have 920 of them) and couldn't remember your name. I just finished watching Juno and recognized your voice so had to google you right away. Glad I found you. I'm sure I'll be a lifetime fan of yours, too. Love the voice, words, everything (soul). I'm just watching movies with that awful flu that turns into bronchitis. I, like a lot of people, discovered you after watching Juno. Your songs are really amazing and they're amazing to wake up to in the morning (I use my ipod as an alarm clock). I have to say that the part about "if you wanna burn yourself remember that i love you..." in Loose Lips pretty much makes me cry every time i listen to it even though the rest of the song makes me happy. Even though you're a musician who i'll probably never meet it means a lot to hear that. Yes, i'm a sentimental dork but you seem like the kind of person who I can say that to and you won't be all wierd about it.

Ok, well, before i get even more wierd, lol, i'll say good night (it's almost 11 and i have school in the morning). So, have fun in Seattle! I am so sad that i can't go, I was supposed to be off that night and now i have to work :(

you blow me away. i gave my friend a copy of the juno soundtrack and then later she gave me a copy of the moldy peaches...i haven't put anything in my cd player since. you are definately one of my favorites, and you are one of the very few women who have inspired me... so anyways... if you ever get a chance, you've got fans out here in oklahoma (we are all sick here too!!) so you should have a show out here one of these days if at all possible...

I am sorry to hear that your family is sick. I am battling the flu myself-so please keep them bundled up and filled with love.

I am a displaced New Orleans musician due to hurricane Katrina. I evacuated to Houston, TX and have been on a mission to try to make a better life for myself. On the outside it looks like things are ok, but I am doing really bad. I am fighting depression with everything I've got!

I admire your ability to write such clear lyrics. You are a gifted writer and your authenticity is refreshing. I am away from my Louisiana family, and it is really hard.
