hello from new orleans, louisiana. i fucking love this town. i fucking love the people here. the show at the iron rail was awesome yesterday. my friends alynda and patsy grace played too and i cried and cried. i love them.

and the big hugs just keep getting bigger.

today we are going on a four hour tour of the city to see what was, what happened, and what has been and is being done in the rebuild. last night was dinner at the mother-in-law. sweetest ladies ever hosted us, danced with us, and stuffed us full of soul food.

even if you think you know when all the shows are look again, there are new ones in some of the same towns!

I saw Juno over the weekend, and I was so excited to hear your voice all over that movie. I sang along and my boyfriend was really embarassed. Thanks for making the experience infinitely more awesome!

so glad you are having fun in my home state...

the first time I saw you perform, it was at The Matador with th' Peaches (I think opening for the Causey Way or maybe Shannon Wright?). you guys were saying that ya'll had some bad diner food somewhere in town, and that it made ya'll poop a lot. I'm glad New Orleans is more fun this time!

PS. the wifey & i saw Juno over the holiday - we're so proud of you!

wow, it sounds like such a blast. i want to go to new orleans some day. it's such an epic of a city.

the juno soundtrack is, i believe, the best album i have ever bought.
sure i'm young- there may be more great albums in the future- but for now, that is some great music.
have a wonderful time on the road- i can't wait until you're back in western washington. :)

i really hope i get their early enough to actually get in and see you in Boston. I was in Newbury Comics today and mentioned i was going (as i picked up the JUNO soundtrack) and he said in a more threatening voice "you better get their early". so hopefully i do.

and the house show would be nice, i just don't know if i'll get to go. it would be incredible though.

I saw Juno on Sunday and cried at the end because I was so proud of you. I can't believe a major movie playing in little Cedar Rapids, IA had so many of your songs in it. It was also the best movie I have seen in probably a year and a half. Yay!

for an easily distracted midwifery student trying to write about water birth while making soup and watching my neibor's plasma screen T.V. through my window...I fell in love with it a few years ago when I used to listen to Moldy Peaches in my friend Lucas' studio making glass jewelry with his girlfriend. Where's the crack is the best...
