SHOWS
Okay, I know I have been hinting at shows but not really given out any REAL info. Sorry about that. Here is what I know...
There is a show in New Orleans. It is a benefit. It is 18+. If anyone wants to set up an afternoon all ages show for this coming Tuesday, Jan. 8th, let me know fast. I think a house show would be best. Or like a cafe or record store. I would feel shitty going to New Orleans for the first time in years and not playing all ages. I usually wouldn't do 18+, but sometimes you need to make an exception when the cause is good enough. Here is the info on that:
Indie Artists Perform Benefit for New Orleans Musicians Thursday, January 10 HOB Parish 9 pm
On January 10, at the House of Blues Parish Room, Jon Langford & Sally Timms of The Mekons, Patrick Hallahan of My Morning Jacket, Charles Bisell of the Wrens, Kimya Dawson (who recently contributed eight songs to the hit movie Juno), Timothy Bracy of Mendoza Line, Janet Bean of Freakwater and Craig Klein, Matt Perrine, Eric Bolivar & Bert Cotton of Bonerama come together to play a benefit show for musicians displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Showtime is 9 pm.
This performance is for the benefit of Sweet Home New Orleans (SHNO), an umbrella organization for 14 non-profit agencies serving New Orleans' music community. SHNO provides relocation, housing, and social services to musicians and tradition bearers in need. Thousands of New Orleans musicians have yet to find stable housing in their neighborhoods since the flood of 2005. SHNO's mission is to help these artists return to their communities, where they can revitalize the city and share their unique culture with future generations.

saturday january 19th there will hopefully be a couple of things happening in Philly. Possibly an instore at AKA and I am working with Sean at R5 to try to throw together a last minute thang at The First Unitarian Church.
The plan is to head from there south and try to do stuff in Baltimore, DC, Richmond, Raleigh. And maybe make it all the way down to Florida. Then maybe Nashville way. Still not sure.
The people at Rhino Records (the label putting out the soundtrack) are getting more instore shows lined up, and as soon as I know where we will be on what days I will be asking for help to get all ages shows in those towns too. Sweep your floor and make a pot of tea, I might be playing in your living room (please).
They said something about something about Portland on Feb 2nd. I will set up other NW stuff around then too.
Mid Feb. we will do the Bay Area and Southern California. We had been planning on driving down but we are going to wait because we are planning a MONSTER TOUR in April with our friends L'Orchidee D'Hawai and we will be doing all the long drives then.
That is all I know for now. More info soon, my pretties.
I love you all and can't wait to meet you.
Go pump some iron and getting your huggin arms warmed up.
Bones will break.
Boners will ache.
