so we got to anacortes friday evening after being stuck in traffic for a few hours. we had dinner at adrift and it was amazing. on friday night we went and saw jason anderson, some contemporary christian band, and mount eerie play. then we went out to bret, denise and lulu's and went to sleep. in the morning us and them and everyone who was camping in their yard woke up and had pancakes for breakfast and eggs from their chickens. then i fell back to sleep for a couple hours before we had to get to the park. we got to the park and sat in the sun with jarrod and emily and watched the bands play. ange played a really good set even though he was freaking out about tuning his guitar. he super rocked considering it was fucking hot out. i really liked faerie talk too even though they thought they had a bad set. we went from the park to heart lake and i just stood in the water for awhile. then we went to the dinner show and hung out with all the folks who work at k and mr. michael elvin. we ate a lot and watched calvin's set, then we went to the park. after sitting and digesting for awhile we went and wathced karl blau at city hall, then hornet leg at adrift. then we went back to city hall for the blow and thanksgiving. mirah showed up and it was good to see her. halfway through thanksgiving's set i got really tired and we went back to the house and went to sleep. sunday morning everyone got up and had breakfast and a whole bunch of people went to heart lake. i wore melanie's flippers and swam for a long time. it felt really good even though it was a little cold. then me and ange went and got some gross lunch and checked out the car show a little bit then we went to the park and caught the end of the songshare and the beginning of the clear cut press reading. then we met a bunch of people at cranberry lake. we walked the trail real slow with khaela and that was nice, even though it was kinda hard for me. i sat on the rocks while everyone swam because getting in and out of that lake is pretty treacherous. we left there and went back to bret and denise's and i practiced a little and we ate before we went to the department of safety. al larsen was amazing. at one point he asked this kid what adults have to offer and the kid said "you have been around the block and i haven't" and al said he was thirsty and took a sip out of a nalgene bottle then threw the water in the kids face and said "don't trust anyone over 30". ahhh. al. before i played they opened the front door of the building, it's a fire station garage door, and people were inside and outside and it was really nice. i played my 3 new songs and an antsy pants song and some old songs. it felt good and kinda silly. genevieve (woelv) played and i really liked her set (of course). then the watery graves played. they are the best fest finale band. the whole weekend was really relaxing and there were so many good families and kids and babies around. it was really inspiring. and everyone really went out of their way to make sure i was okay and comfortable all the time.
but now i am home. and things are kinda crazy.
i feel anxious to have the baby but i think i am going to hold out for a leo.
