the benefit was great today. big props to dina, danny, and jen for pulling it together. and to robert for letting us have the show at scenic, and to the folks who came in in the afternoon to work. and thanks everyone who donated music and music players! everyone who played was great too. it made me really happy and sad and sentimental. it was great to spend the afternoon hanging out with adam, and david, and benjamin, charles, and guillaume. it was good to see everyone. it was great that griffin was there and amanda from mississippi. i played 12/26 and caving in. adam played emily and mozzerella swastikas. we played steak for chicken and anyone else but you together. those french boys- coming soon- are amazing. leo, from bear creek, is the drummer but he is in school so they played without drums. maybe when i am in france next month i can see them play with leo. it was good to see mike and dina. harmon is such a big cute boy! even piltin showed up at the end. he seems really healthy and like he is getting better. i wish he had gotten there earlier and played some songs. he is the reason i started playing guitar. so many friends. it was a great way to help people and say goodbye at the same time. i cried almost the whole way home from the city. i cried at the bank this morning and when i left the post office. i sure will miss nice stella who works at the post office. now i will paint the cover f my new album and go to bed and wake up and finish packing and then say goodbye to bedford hills for good. jeez louise. mama mia.

this is my last ever update from bedford hills. my mom just said if she tries to stand up to kiss me goodbye she will shit her pants. that is the perfect sendoff.
