12:35a - home again home again
so i am home. it is crazy to sit back down in front of this computer and think back on the process of booking the tour and to think about all the adventures we had and how everything went so smoothly. and i am so tired and it is good to be home, but i am sure going to miss hanging out with david and hearing his beautiful songs every single night. last night we stayed at ted's and watched his footage of the moldy peaches show. today i heard them review my album on npr. and i got a letter from genevieve telling me more about giants. skyler rubbed noses with me. and there was a talking rodney dangerfield doll in the mail from important records and a handmade skunk costume from patrice. then i went to tina's and we giggled and googled people. i could die happy tomorrow. i swear. it's funny how sad i was a couple days ago. i think i was just super burned out tired. now i get to go sleep in my bed! goodnight friends.

last night when i was so excited to sleep in my bed i fell asleep on the couch. pretty silly.
my fingers are sore from playing guitar for hours. it is funny to have just played every day but not so many hours a day, so even though i played so many days my hands aren't tough. i have to master these bad brains songs for the benefit for afropunk tomorrow. http://www.afropunk.com
it is at 7pm at the delancey. 21+ though. free booze from 7-9 and it is just $5. i am playing right at 8pm sharp. 2 bad brains songs and 2 of my songs. are am scare shitless about the covers. i am so bad at figuring out other people's songs. so it won't sound like bad brains that is for sure. it'll sound like silly old me trying my damndest not to insult bad brains with my incompetence! oy vey.
when i took a shower today i put on clean pants and they felt rotten so i put back on the same stinky ones i have worn every day since october 27th. much better. they have stupid pockets though. i need to make better pockets.
soon i will post a couple of pictures from the tour. and tomorrow i will have akida take pictures of the skunk suit. it has been awhile since i posted pictures. sorry.
thanksgiving is just around the corner. i love my family and my friends and i am thankful for lots of things. including the vegan stuffing in the deli case at mrs. greens. and i love hand turkeys. but the idea of thanksgiving and it's history makes me mad.
i guess i can make it good by donating crap i don't need to people who need crap. some good smallpox free blankets and jackets for the poor and cold.
that's what i will do.
