| Bio: | I am a 40-something professional woman working in downtown Milwaukee. I've had this same job for over 10 years. My job keeps me busier than I like or care to admit, but... it pays the bills, and allows me to live comfortably enough. Never married; no kids. I am currently in a monogamous relationship, and have been for the last year and a half, with a true gem of a man. I've dated enough of the dolts to truly appreciate the one I am with now, and daily acknowledge my appreciation for him. My journal peeks into the eccentricities of my mind. The posts here may range from silly to kinky; insightful to goofy; sexy to sad; intelligent to inane. It reflects all from my shiny happy moods to the darkness and depression of SAD. I love to travel. The Western US, and other mountainous regions are my top destinations; I also adore arid desert areas. Horses, country music, and Wrangler butt.... yes,yes, I was born in the wrong part of the country. I fill that yearning by vacationing in those areas. I am not one who likes to "sit on the beach and relax" because all I get out of that is hot, sweaty, and bored! Exploring allows me to grab my camera and record the beauty that exists. I am one who is up for camping or road trips anytime. Communing with nature is when I feel most at ease. My photography is important to me. It allows me an outlet for my creativity. I would like to get further into it, but time constraints slow me. I also like to make bead jewelry. It allows me to work with my hands and provides a physical representation of time and energy spent. And very simply put - I like pretty things. Movies are usually comedies; my favorite movie is "Animal House". I laugh at that every time I watch it. Musical tastes run the gamut - country, rhythym and blues, rock, new age, reggae, blues, ambient and reggaeton. I am a sensitive and gentle soul; truly represented by a card that I received from two friends: It had a beautiful watercolor abstract painting/sketch of a woman holding a potted plant. The text reads “She said she usually cried at least once each day not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful and life was so short.” I've no problem shedding a tear for the beauty I behold in Mother Nature. In fact, does me good to do so. | ||
