My life in this stage is tremendously exciting, difficult, and forgetful.

Laying the foundations for Making an Ethnographic Documentarty film on Displaced Hungarians in Transylvannia this Summer + Awesome Film-making Sociology Seminars and practicum this spring and next fall.
Beginning to form a intellectual crew type thing, a group of social science kids, some humanities and natural sciences too, all very interested in forming a formal tradition of tossing around and debating ideas and drinking great tea one night a week instead of wasting ourselves on pub night.

Swinging away from the unhealthy loner mentality to one that sees connection with a tremendous amount of peers, is interested and actively engaged in forming and strengthening community relations.
Absolved of an underlying romantic narrative, or the belief that at the base of all is some melodramatic self-pitying teenage love/movie.
Feeling, albeit tentatively, that perhaps I am truly coming into my own here at Swarthmore.
Recognizing my truest interests, and noting their intersections, notably film, sociology, and psychology.
Obsessing about various friends in a quickly cycling through manner. in a good way.
Tremendously excited that I could/can communicate the I.R.P. construction succesfully to at least an avid listener, and interested in reapplying it to my life with the addition of the pyramidal pulled dimension.
About 1/4-1/3 through with designing a curriculum and lesson plans for the education of 4th-5th graders in the basics of musical style, movements, and most essentially genre, and being nervous and excited to the point of inability to sleep, despite my class tomorrow morning and full day working with 3rd graders in the Philidelphia Public School ICS.
Secure that these words are an affirmation of my feeling in this good and hazy state at 5:30, and not a construction to impress or confuse.
Impressed with my resolve to regularly swim for exercise, and to a previously unseen devotion to practicing the viola diligently, probably as a result of immensely difficult piece and new teacher.
Immensely excited to do my work, to finish my work, to enjoy my last free time here, to go home and all that bagage. Awesome bagage, that is. Awesome bagage that it is.
