I hate it that I don't get to sleep in my own bed very often... I wish Geoff talk to the doctor and see if anything can be done about his snoring and then actually do something about it. I want to sleep in the same bed as y hubby but I have so much trouble actually getting to sleep that if he starts snoring I just have to leave... god damn it! |

Strange that I ended up with my favourite colour....
BLUES are motivated by INTIMACY, seek opportunities to genuinely connect with others, and need to be appreciated. They do everything with quality and are devoted and loyal friends and employers/employees. Whatever or whomever they commit to are their sole (and soul) focus. They love to serve and will give freely of themselves in order to nurture others lives.BLUES, however, do need to be understood. They have distinct preferences and occasionally the somewhat controlling (but always fair) personality of a confident leader. Their code of ethics is remarkably strong and they expect others to live honest, committed lives as well. They enjoy sharing meaningful moments in conversation as well as remembering special life events (i.e., birthdays and anniversaries). BLUES are dependable, thoughtful, nurturing, and can also be self-righteous, a bit worry-prone, and emotionally intense. They are like sainted pit-bulls who never let go of something once they are committed. When you deal with a BLUE, be sincere, make an effort to truly understand them, and truly appreciate them. | » It's about time.... |
Thought I should write something in here. It's been so long since I actively used this thing and I thought I might try actually writing in here now and again.
Sam is now nearly eight months old. She's sitting, crawling, standing while holding on to things, trying to walk a little and starting to talk. The age that Sam is at is both wonderful and horrible - sometimes even at the same time. She's starting to try and tell us what she wants but gets frustrated because we can't understand her yet. She's getting around much more now but we have to watch her like a hawk because she gets from a to b in .5 seconds without making a sound. She's eating more things and trying new foods but still hates eating baby food with chunks. She's also teething again! It almost sounds as if having an eight month old is not a good thing. And even though there are lots of things that frustrate, scare or annoy us it's all made up for when we pick Sammy up and she gives us a big open mouth kiss or leans her head against us. It's at those moments when my heart melts and I just can't wait to watch her and Isabelle grow up together. And at those moments I also realise that this time is so short that if we blink we will miss it. Those moments also make me go clucky for the next baby. (And no - to all those of you that just freaked out - I am not pregnant I just can't wait until I am again).
Isabelle is now settling down at school. She's getting into the swing of things and making new friends. I went to the P&F meeting to show some interest in her schooling and I walked out of there as the Secretary for the ELC P&F! It's good though because I want to take an active role in my childrens' schooling. I look forward to helping the ELC plan things to make the school the best that it can be. I also look forward to getting some ideas out there myself. The ELC seems to be doing great and I am looking forward to the parent teacher interviews we have later this month. We will get to find out how Issy is really doing at school and what the teachers think of her. We will also get to find out if she has shown them that she can count and do maths and stuff because I don't think she has yet!
Now for work... I am back at work now and enjoying it. One of the conditions I set before I came back to work was that I did not want to go back to doing reporting and quality. I told my bosses at work that if I came back to that role I would start looking for work elsewhere. THankfully they helped me there and put me into another role which I am really enjoying. I like finding things that are wrong in the process and fixing them or finding things that could use some "tweaking" to help things get better. It's been good to get back to work and use my brain again. I love my kids like nothing else in the world and I loved being an at home mum for them. If I could keep doing it I would. But I also love working and using my brain because a lot of the time I think people around me forget that I have one.
Anyway... Issy is waiting for me to go read to her - some more of harry potter :) - so I must go.
Geoff don't feel left out that I didn't really talk about you - I ran out of time and I think I'll leave it for a time that I'm pissed off at you and need a vent. I love you! Now go clean the kitchen!
