{fandom drama is sometimes strange}

I'm sorry to any Jensen fans out there but... for fuck's sake, can't celebrities take a joke these days?! Can we not create comedy around our fandoms without the constant threat of legal action against us? All satire does, is express love for a fandom or person in an unorthodox manner - would they rather us try and rape them in the streets?! Because believe me - I've been to a few McFly concerts and got hit with phones at one of them; if I were one of the band members, I'd rather have the satirical humour any day of the week! Grow up celebrities. Seriously, actions like this against the people who admire you for your work, rather than just your looks, will pretty much destory the people who care about you. Ungh.
It also got me thinking - what if this phenomenom spread to slash sites? I wonder which communities around here would survive? One that definitely would is slacken_ties... if it was still around. There was even an article in one of the leading papers where Franz Ferdinand actually spoke about the site in high regard - despite the fact that it's a gay porn website! I also reckon mcflyslash would survive as well - well, I'm sure McFly would regard these fans as better than the evil teenies. I mean, it's these slash fans who seem to have more maturity than most and when they meet the band, they're the ones who gets a nice, meaningful chat with them! Alright, so I'm not so sure on their actual reaction to slash sites in general - heck, I'm not sure what mine would be if someone told me I was getting fanfic written about me where I slept with Cher or... Kate Moss. But as a band, they know at the end of the day that these fans love them in their unique way - and as long as they cover themselves with a disclaimer (as the front page, info and every fanfic does) then nothing should stop these people from carrying out their fandom love in this way.

Choose a number between 1 and 10. Comment with that number and a fandom, and I will create a sketch/drawing/painting, or drabble/ficlet/fanfic (depending on my mood/time) based on the corresponding song after pressing the random button that number of times, and upload the song! You can specify characters/pairings as well if you want, but I probably won't create anything explicit (i.e. we'll see what inspires me but don't go holding out for porn).
Any fandoms that we share are welcome, even if I've never drawn it before (hell, any band/show/movie that you know I'm into is fine! I fancy trying something different.)
Also, Top Gear? Oh boys, please never change. ♥ Seriously, their love for each other creates an adorable OT3, and James is fantastic.
Oh, and radio:ACTIVE is such a good album - and Corrupted is just the ultimate Pudd song. PLEASE

Also, hee - I've fallen in love with Two/Jamie. It's like... a 60s, Scottish version of Ten/Danny love. Henceforth, I will be buying Second Doctor DVDs in the next few weeks - namely Tomb of the Cybermen and The Two Doctors. The second in that last will be awesome, because it also has the Sixth Doctor in it. Hooray for cult Doctor Who!
Also, quite strangely enough, I've signed up to do a fan audio for Doctor Who over at the Outpost Gallifrey forums. XD It's something different, and we're hopefully going to start recording soon - if you're part of that forum I'll keep you updated.
PS: Slowly getting back into making fanmixes too - hopefully I'll finish two in the next few weeks:

So, the parents are back from Barcelona - they went off after New Year so we've been cared for by the grandparents... bless them, they really did try. The good news? We got Sunday dinner and dessert every day! The bad news? We hade to cope with Grandad waking up in the middle of the night doing Tarzan impressions - he's just like that, really. Still, we had a fun time and I got through about... 70% of my homework, and I can get the rest done tomorrow. =D
Once again, have to pimp my prompt table - come on, make me do some serious work! To tide you over, I'm gonna post a little bit of fic I've been working on, and I quite like the idea so far.
It still needs some work, granted, but I like the way it's shaping up - might even draw some of the monsters and post them up later...
PS: Discovered Sweeney Todd is an 18. Err... bugger. Still, at least my dad says he's gonna take me to see it when it comes out - I <3 my dad!

Update made to my fandom list! There's still 29 prompts on my table left to claim too, so go and pick one - I need to get back into writing, desperately.
Today is one of those days when I love being from the north-east - it's snowing like crazy! Seriously, I'm acting like I've never seen it before, staring out the window thinking, "ooh, pretty..." - not one of my usual traits, but it's snowing... so there. =P I'll also have to get my French and Biology homework finished for Tuesday, so maybe do the fun one first - prepare yourself, French...
Does anyone actually know what rating Sweney Todd's gonna be? I really wanna see it for my birthday but since I'm gonna be 16, I need to know asap what rating it is to make arrangements as to whether I can see it.
