Would anybody like a glass of smooth creamy brains?
Original Chipits Cookies
1. Cream together 1 cup (250 mL) shortening or softened butter, 1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar and 1/2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar. Beat in 2 eggs and 1-1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) vanilla.
2. Combine 2 cups (500 mL) all-purpose flour, 1 tbs (5 mL) backing soda and 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt. Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
3. Stir in 1 package (350 g) Hershey Chipits Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips and 1 cup (250 mL) chopped nuts (optional).
4. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls (15 mL) onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 275F (190C) for 10 to 12 min.
Makes about 4 dozens cookies.
Enjoy!
They're looking into it, and hopefully we'll have a playable game soon.
So, instead of trying fruitlessly to concentrate on writing (typing in general, really), as mentioned yesterday, I've allowed PSP to suck me in again. But I got one pic out of it already--and not surprisingly, as my version of PSP is far newer--I think this one turned out a lot better than the original. Encouraging!
(If you've read WP, BTW, and like your mental image kept in place, just skip the cut. I did these sorts of things with A/Us to keep my descriptions and own mental image straight. :^))

I really have to figure out how to do the other ones now--some are going to be much harder to recreate than others. This is going to be an on-again, off-again venture, but it'll be nice to have the "album" back eventually, even if it's just for my enjoyment--not to mention the satisfaction that I could redo it at all. :^)

Wondering about Old Navy commercial;
In the new commercial, who is the singer?
They show her at parts.
thanx!
Thank-you in advance!

Then, today (six months after I got it), I discovered that... The power is both hard and soft. Specifically, if I press the power button on top, the screen turns off completely, as do the buttons, but the phone stays on. I get a call, it rings, turns everything back on so I can see who's calling and answer it. If I press it again, everything turns back on, too. Obviously, if I hold the button down, it turns the device off completely.
For the last twenty-four hours or so, I've been testing this.
Keep in mind, I got about twenty-four hours on a charge, even just on standby with the screen on but darkened. Even if it wasn't beeping at me to charge it, I was down to a single green bar on the battery indicator.
It's now twenty hours since I unplugged the phone. Over night, I had it on standby with the screen off (from about 7pm onwards). I still have a reported full battery.
This is good.
See, I thought, right from day one, that I needed a replacement battery. Spec on the phone says that it should go standby for up to thirty days. I thought 'standby' was just 'screen not illuminated'. NOT SO! So, the next few days, I'm going to wring this thing out, and see what it's capable of giving me on the real standby with real use mixed in there. Especially tonight, when I have tendency to play games on it while I wait for
Back to the battery.
What all this means is, I may not need a new battery, I may just need a better way of using the phone, which I've found. It was a refurb when I got it, so, no manual. And I always read the manual, of course. Or not at all. Which is good. Even though I can get a replacement battery on Ebay, in several sizes (both physical and storage size) with various accessories, if I can avoid the expense, that rocks. Because between AitP, and looking at either buying or renting a place with

You either love it or hate it, and I buy in Bulk.
I did it this time. I took my ThinkPad Z60t, the one I was not using since last September, and finally installed openSUSE 11 to replace the not yet upgraded Ubuntu. I must say that the installer is slick.... as long as your DVD media is not broken (had to redo it because the first one had errors). Everything is done very fast.
I'll not talk about the multiple imporvement, including zypper, latest GNOME, etc. (I have been running it on the desktop for quite a while).
And I chose KDE 4 as a default desktop.
And now to figure out how to fix this damn keyboard where return and the arrows don't work that well. I guess IBM quality is long gone. Update: This is a keyboard hardware problem
