i think it's time to update this thing. my life is actually going very well. cory is amazing and it would take me much more space than i have to explain why. cheerleading is fun but those girls can be such bitches. i'm not even kidding, there are some steriotypical mean girls there. it's mostly the ghetto black girls and loud Hispanic girls, me and two others are the only white girls. and it's interesting because I would otherwise be seriously scared of some of these girls but when we're learning something for cheerleading they are all so nice and patient when teaching you. we're cheering at an actualy game tomorrow. this is the first time we're actually cheering this season which is so sad. it took us at least a month into the season to get our uniforms because not everyone had their paperwork in. there's also competition November 1st and we're planning to go but will we be ready one time? i dunno. |

i think it's time to update my lj. I haven't done it since July.
1. the reason i haven't bothered with lj is because whenever i got home from camp i was so tired all i wanted to do was eat, sleep, watch baseball, and talk to cory. not to mention my best friend using the computer.
2. me and cory are amazing so far. i've been to his house like a million times already. his family is so dysfuntional. but it's not like violent bickering, it's just very real. they all make fun of each other. yesterday i started coughing and choking on my drink because i was laughing so hard.
3.I was in Switzerland from August 15-25. we went on a Girl Scout trip and we visited the Girl Scout World Center there. it's callefd Our Chalet. there were other troops from all over the world staying there too: Canada, England, Northern Ireland, Japan. I did a lot of hiking, site seeing, and it was soooo much fun.
4. oh yeah cheerleading tryouts were supposed to be yesterday but no one was there. i went to the athletic office and they said try outs were moved to September 5th, and they had just found this out today from the coach. this is the most unorganized organized sport ever.
ummmmm....
5. I also got some new, pretty underwear from Victoria's Secret. it took me like 2 hours to find the perfect bra lol. then merri yells on the phone when i'm talking to cory, "kayla got new underwear for you!!"
p.s. i don't want to talk about the Red Sox right now. football season is only a week away..... |

ok quick update in my life since someone has been dominating the computer *cough* merri *cough cough*
1. camp is actually pretty fun. it's so triring and when i come home i got to sleep for about 2 hours, but it also very rewarding. it's kinda corny but we're making a difference in these kids lives by watching over them and keeping them happy. today Brynna said to me, "Mom, i mean Kayla,". i think it's so cute she's like thinking of me on teh same level as her mother! to me it's a compliment
2. but these children can also be monsters. Zachary won't stop annoying the hell out of me. he still won't participate in anything, so when he doesn't want to play we give him the option of joining with the group or sitting and watching quietly. but it's not easy to get him to stay like nice and quiet. any advice, ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) soxgrlsdoitbest?
3. my birthday was pretty good. it rained so we had to leave the beach early, like around 4. eriko came which was great. she gave me japanese candy. i got a lot of clothes i wanted too.
4. here's the best part. I have a boyfriend!!! his name is Cory and he works at camp, but not in my unit which is actually good because I wouldn't want to see him too much. he broke up with his girlfriend for me (i swear he did it on his own i didn't push him to it). we've been going out for a little more than a week now. he lives in Medway, which is like an hour from here. I actually went to his house on sunday and it was amazing, but i won't describe it all because this entry is already long enough. |

one of my kids, Zachary, started crying because he wanted his mother. but we were about to leave camp! he was going to see her in like 15 minutes. but kids are kids i guess, especially when they're 5.
so i think i'm testing Phyllis's patience because i keep going off to visit nora and this guy named cory in Negev. she actually didn't sound too angry (i was surprised because today was the second time i was like sitting there when i should have been helping with my bunk), but she reminded me that i just need to tell someone if i'm going off. why didn't i just do that im the first place? i don't know. but i should definately try to remember to do that or else i will eventually piss her off. but omg cory is cute and he gave me a shoulder massage. it was nice. and we hug a lot. he does have a girlfriend but nora told me the relationship is teetering. so i guess we'll just have to wait that out... |

hi wow it's been awhile since i've updated. let's see...we're out of school and that's awesome. i'm working at Camp Grossman as a junior counselor and we get paid $1400 for 8 weeks. but i'll actually be there for only 7 weeks because i'm going to Switzerland during tne last week of camp. oh guess what? i wanted to borrow a sweatshirt fomr the office because it was cold and rainy today, but they wouldn't let me borrow one i had to buy one. those bitches.
ok so a little about my kids. I'm working in a group called Carmel, and the're the youngest kids in the camp. they're 5 and 6 yeas old. my group is mostly 5 year olds and they are adorable! most of the time, that is. there's this kid who went like insane because he didn't want to go swimming, and it turned out that he wasn't upset because he didn't want to go swimming it was because the boys and girls changed together and he was overwhelmed. i know, i know, he's just a little kid. David Ortiz lives on his street though. and these kids are still better behaved than my 8 year olds from last year lol. |

I walk into my flute lesson today, try to calm down in her bathroom, but start crying anyway. everyone's been so pissy and angry today, i don't know if it's cabin-fever or stress or both or what. Mana gives me a tissue and I ask for a glass of water so she gives me one. I drink it and clam down. she asks me what's wrong and I explain how everyone's made at each other and my parents were fightening all. she says she's sorry and she'd be sad too if her parents were fighting. we go on with the lesson just fine and i feel better. Mana says, "It's nice to see your smiling face again." and that makes me feel happy. she also gives me a chocolate cookie before i leave. she so nice, i know.
know i feel better, don't worry. ummm....some happy things. I get my shirt with the pirates and guns on Monday. mommy got me cute lipgloss. It looks like I'll be able to take tumbling classes to up my cheerleading/gymnastics skills. oh, Juliana just called me but she was lookin fo rteh other Kaylam the black one who was a varsoty cheerleader last year. i can't wait till i get better so maybe people will actually know me lol. |

i saw CARYNNNNNN today! i left school at noon so i could see her. she came in from Pittsburg for her cousin's Bar Mitzvah on Saturday and today was her free day. We went to Filene's Basement and tried stuff on. the fitting room was just a communal room with mirrors and no stalls and it was a tinsy bit awkward. then we went to Faneuil Hall and had somehting to eat, i mooched off of Caryn's salad and got some Gilatto. we were holding hands and walking thru Faneuil Hall and caryn says, "do we look like lesbians? i hope we do!" lol i wuv Cary and i'm glad i get to still talk to her and see her sometimes. if only she didn't live so far away waaaaaaaahhhh!!!! |

*whew*
got out of BAGLY Prom hickey-free and shame-free.
At first i was nervous as hell, but i calmed down.
Highlights include:
·Me in my orange Soffe shorts, black tank top which i rolled up to be shorter, my little jacket that says Harley Davidson, and heels
·Two people told me how nice I looked. Austin who was wearing a dress said I looked really, really hot, and Mike said “You look really beautiful. You can pull off that Jane Fonda look.”
·Three floors to parade around, looking for a hot guy
·I found a great spot to watch the dance performances (at the top floor, right above the stage)
·I saw the creepy Spanish guy who bit me last time. He touched my hand as i passed him and looked at me, and i gave him a look of disgust and walked away.
·Nick poured water down my shirt, but it made me look hotter anyway so i guess it was ok
·I saw Anna, Taylor, and Anna’s friend who i’ve seen around but can’t remember her name. We all stuck close to each other towards the end, and I felt better being with people i know and am friendly with
·Me and Anna got water all over us when someone decided to throw water into the air in the middle of the floor (at least, i hope it was water)
·I saw this girl in the bathroom and i asked her if she was ok, and she said she had a headache. I suggested some fresh air but she’s already tried that. Now that I look back, i should have offered her my phone, but i did wish her well and said i hope she felt better
·David Hurlahee was there (?!)
·Oh, guess what? The little bitch who never called me was actually there and he danced with Anna and Anna’s friend. I told them i knew this kid and he’s a little bitch.
·At the very end i was dancing with this guy (i only danced with one guy during the whole thing), and he looked a lot older, so i asked him how old her was. He asked me how old I was and i said 16. He says “wow. I’m gonna pretend I‘m a lot younger than I really am. You’re a really great dancer, though”. I said thank you, thank you very much.
Yes, that was my night. No kissing, no biting, no sucking. I had a much better time that way. I think this one was better than the last. Can’t wait until the Halloween dance. |

something that happened in drama class a few days ago really made me happy. This girl named Eleena was playfully joking about cheerleaders, and Ilene joked back, "you know what? there are two cheerleaders in this room." (meaning me and her). it made me happy because sometimes I admit I overreact and think that people will think i'm fake, like "pssht, she's not a cheerleader she only on JV for god sake." Or is that what I think about myself? no, not really; i personally feel like I am a cheerleader, but i guess still working to get it as an identity for me because I'm still not that skilled. but i'm working hard. So in conclusion, I'm glad someone else recognizes me as a cheerleader because now i can maybe do it myself.

The concert was actually pretty awesome! Ariel,me ,and merri all got realy together and it was great to see Ariel again. "The Brigaders", a bunch of their fans who get dressed up and do cute and crazy tricks, were there before the show but we got there a little to late to see them. A bunch of performers went on before the Dresden Dolls; my favorite was "Porsches on the Autobahn" who were a German band and they poked aweful fun at Americans.I won a little pin with their symbol for guessing which cup it was under, and merri bought a poster and Ariel bought a t-shirt for $30. after the show i was parched so we went to 7-11 and got Slurpees and a Gatorade
Even though I couldn't sing along with the songs like Ariel and Merri i still had a lot of fun by the end. we may even see them at Avalon if it isn't a 21+ show.
oh, and we saw a bunch of 11 year old girls and we thought they were fans so we kinda snickered, but it turned out they were the group "Girl Authority" and got to perform with the Dresden Dolls. |
