Goo! [Sunday August 31st, 2008 at 8:17pm] t_shirt_surgery [fuckingyouth] So this is my first post here... Hey there. This is my "Goo!" shirt, that there is the silohuette of Kim Gordon from Sonic Youth, I actually copied that from one of the pics in the cover of the album "Goo" and I love the sound of it so I added it on the corner, plus a constellation, don't ask which, its in out heads. I did it all with white paint, and for the stuff around I stained it in white first with some art foam letters, like the ones kids use for learning the alphabet. I know, how rudimentary, but it works! Then with the same letters I stained it on colors. ( Goo! ) 08 / love♥

Folding it over and hemming it leaves this stretched/mishappen neckline that gets more tattered looking everytime I wash it. What am I missing? What's the best way to do it. I have been saving a particular shirt for 10 years now afraid to mess it up. I have been sewing my entire life and have failed miserably working with t--shirt fabric. I need the right technique!
