This is my first post for Bento Challenge! I used to play Backgammon with my sister when younger...but now I've actually forgotten how to play it! The board is made out of rice and beef soboro. Pieces are carrots and cheese circles. The dice is made of rice, and there's a soboro gunkan sushi (dice cup) on a bed of shredded lettuce. The dice are not in proportion with everything else and I think it will be a little boring to eat as there's not much variety, but it was really fun to make!

I recently cut my hair short. I am not sure whether or not to keep it short or grow it back out. ( Opinions please! )

I've checked the memories and no one seemed to give an answer as to where one goes to unlock a phone. I see all these places around peel metro that say they unlock iphones, but my phone isn't an iphone. It's a CECT 318 phone, from Asia and it works beautifully except it's not finding any canadian networks. I'm assuming this means it's locked. It's a tri-band phone with the proper GSNM frequencies so that shouldn't be an issue either.
So where do I go to get my phone unlocked? Preferably downtown. Even better if there's a place in Chinatown I can do it, because maybe someone will be able to tell me what the chinese "fine print" says.

I'm looking for a mini-putt course that's really awesome... i.e. windmills where you have to get the ball in between the slats while they're turning, holes where you get it in one hole, it goes through a tube and comes out somewhere else, etc.
Anywhere in Montreal or the surrounding area. I'm thinking this may only be found off the island if there are any around.
Thanks! | |

I absolutely love this girl's hair and I was just wondering if you girls think i might be able to pull it off. I'd prefer if you give a really honest opinion. ( kinda big pictures.. )

What product minimizes pores effectively?

I very much hope that someone would be able to help us with the following, very pressing problem:
My friend and I have a BURNING desire for crumpets, and we can't seem to find them at supermarkets anywhere. Can someone help us...is there anywhere where one can buy a crumpet? Preferably in Mile End or Downtown?
Thanks awfully!! | |

Hello :) this is my first post to this community, I was just wondering if anyone knew any remedy, creams, oils to get rid of strech marks. I have light marks on my boobs and sides I don't know what that part of the body is called, it's often to refer as obliques or love handles. Anyways even though they're light, there a still noticible. Any products I should use?

Last night I washed with Cetaphil, toned and used my Olay Night Moisturizer. This morning I just rinsed with warm water and then toned.. and it still didn't cut down on my oil at all =(
But now I'm wondering if my toner could have something to do with it? I'm currently using Origins Oil Refiner, but I just realized it has alcohol in it, which I know is a big no-no for a toner. Does anyone have any GOOD recommendations for a toner without alcohol? Preferably something I could get at a drugstore, but doesn't have to be.

Hi girls. I am going to a beachy vacation in the end of the month which means I will be wearing swim suits 95 percent of the time. I have never tried Brazilian Wax before. I would want to try theoretically to not even worry about it on vacation. How painful is it? Is worth the pain? I would appreciate your responses!

hi ladies. i got some pretty scary news this morning when i was told that my friend got in a car accident and drove under a garbage truck. she was scalped (i know, awful.) but so far i think that is the extent of her serious injuries. i guess, that's all i can hope until i hear more. she had cosmetic surgery this morning and i'm just so... confused, i guess is the right term. i have never had anyone near to me die, so the huge possibility that she could have this morning, just renders me speechless.
so! onto the question. i just got paid a decent pay check and i want to make her a huge basket of goodies. obv, i'm going to put things in like pictures of us (i've known her since kindergarten, and we are now seniors, so i have quiet a few) and make a cd or 2. but i'm wondering, what would be any other things i could buy at a store to help keep her spirit up? because of the surgery will she have a permanent scar? and if so, should i try to find a cute hat for her in case it's tough to deal with after everything has healed. ANY suggestions are very very very much appreciated. any inspirational, upbeat songs too would be nice! i just want to do something to keep her happy because i cannot begin to understand how afraid she is.
edit: extremely sorry if this isn't appropriate.

Sauce: http://www.geekologie.com/2008/09/post_49.phpOkay so, the buzz is that it's supposed to demolish a single building, or like...crawl around on it or something before it actually does get blow'd up. But come on, look at that thing. Goodbye, Liverpool. Nothing of value will be lost.

I read something a little while ago about using standard facial hair bleach & leaving it on for a minute to lighten brows a few shades.
Has anyone tried this? Does it work ok?

Hello all,
I went to the most recent Scrabble meetup at Laurier Park and had a great time. Many thanks to Joe, Amanda, Laura and Darcy! :-)
The only problem was distance. It takes someone from my neck of the woods about 20 minutes by car with only the normal traffic headaches. Public transit will turn that into almost an hour. As a result, I missed out on the beginning and therefore a chance to play more than one game.
So I proposed a possible 2nd meetup group, only this time in NDG. I suggested that it meet on a different day (Saturdays instead of Sundays) and during a different week so as to avoid conflicts. That way people can go to both!
So Montrealers, what say you? Does having a west end group sound like something you'd be interested in trying?

After much bugging and nagging on my part to my boyfriend, it seems we have a ping pong to get rid of.
I was hoping to make a donation to an high school, a community center or any local community services that may appreciate such donation. We are located in the Ville St Laurent area.
If you know any contact person I should get in touch with for this, I would be much obliged.
Thanks! | |

I made this cute bunny for my Etsy shop. He is about 5" high and smells delightfully of lavender. I have a few cinnamon and cloves aromatherapy bunnies in the works and they should also be up on the shop in the next few weeks. ( More pics! )Thanks for looking!

So, the age-old question...HOW DO I MAKE MY HAIR GROW FASTER?? I'm not naive and I know there is probably no real way to do this, but I'm willing to try anything. I cut off my hair about 6 weeks ago and it's cute, but I'm wishing I'd just left it...or not cut it so short :( Does anyone have experience with vitamins or oil treatments or anything that promotes hair growth??? Extensions are not my thing. And I'm also sick of being blonde. I like having blonde hair, but my hair dresser is too hard to get ahold of and I am too scared to try doing blonde myself. So I end up having dark roots for a couple of weeks and I hate that it looks so unnatural. My natural color is a light brown and I'd like something closer to my natural color so you can't really see my roots as much. [I know I always post about my hair color, sorry ladies.] What do you think about Sophia Bush's color in the pictures under the cut? How would one of those look with my current cut? Following this post I thought I should update on how my skin is getting on :O) Basically on the 2nd week my skin got really REALLY dry above my lip and around my nose, like NOTHING would cover the dryness. It would be fine in the morning then be horrid and cracked by lunch so I had to suffer walking around a new college with my head facing down. Even on days when I didn’t wear make-up I couldn’t leave the class every hour to slither on moisturiser and Vaseline so I'd hide behind my hand or notebook. It was really frustrating and sad really because I was meeting new people and I didn’t feel confident and couldn’t really look people in the eye. By the weekend the dryness had calmed down to nothing and for a few days it was fine. Tuesday, yesterday and today though, my skin has been dry all over BUT it’s not as server as the second week was.
My eyesight is definitely weaker and I can’t concentrate for long periods of time because I often feel tired and fed up. I’m definitely not as bubbly as I used to be before starting it – which was picked up by my work mates actually – not me.
I’m still wondering right now if the Accutane is worth it but despite everything else – it really is.
My forehead and cheeks are really smooth! I have a few scabs on my chin because I stupidly burst a few cystic spots that came up to play so the dryness is worse around them. One piece of advice is –DON’T DO IT. I know the temptation screams at you but it’s not worth it. Don’t burst the spots until they are ready to come out and make sure you use a tissue to massage them in rotation until the fluid comes out – just don’t simply pop them because it will leave a scar and take longer to fade and quickly put some toner on it afterwards to close the pore – this will stop any scabbiness.
Another thing I’ve noticed is that I’m not oily AT ALL and I know that by the end of it all I won’t get horrid shiny skin during the day – which is so smooth – I LOVE IT. A lot of my old scars are not as visible either.
I switched my Eucerin moisturizer to E45 Enriching Day Cream because although the Eucerin worked wonders – it stung like hell by week two!
I wouldn’t recommend wearing liquid foundation while on Accutane because it clogs your pores like woahh and your nose ends up feeling bumpy compared to the rest of your face – or if you do I recommend a daily scrub like Witch or Clean and Clear – anything without Vitamin A. It’s also important to get loads of water because this does improve the dryness a bit.
I’ll update again in a few weeks. If you have any questions – please ask :O) xxx

What is appropriate makeup for a job interview? My skin looks bad right now, and yesterday, I had a job interview. I tried to cover up the redness and few pimples I had with Dermablend Concealer, L'Oreal Tru Match foundation, and Physician's formula powder. By midday, my face looked cakey and you could start to see a few of my zits.
I've been told your appearance needs to be "perfect" for a job interview, and, while I seem to have the clothes part down, I can't seem to cover up my acne and even out the redness on my face without my makeup looking cakey.
I've been looking for a full time job since February, and I'm afraid that I've gotten no offers because of my appearance, which I feel isn't up to the standard acceptable for most companies. No matter what I do, my face looks like crap.
I don't know what to do at this point. I feel embarrassed having cakey-looking makeup and acne/facial redness, and neither of those are acceptable for an interview. Is there anything I can do with makeup at this point to make my acne/redness less obvious but not look caked on? - Mood:frustrated

Alright. I really want to make out my schedule, like how I do every semester. Not sure how to do that on my mac though. Eitherway, it's on my to-do plan.
I replied to the resto, so I'm waiting for him to get back to me.
Last night on a whim I told Chris I felt "like doing something". I didn't specify what, or anything like that. She instantly said she'll come over and we'll go bowling. It actually really took me by surprise. I felt a bit guilty, but she offered and I never really asked her to. ("something" could've been anything). Eitherway, we hit up the rosebowl and played 3 games. It was the bowling that made me feel bad for her. She was so tired, and just wanted out before the end of the last game. So I tried to cheer her up in the classic random ass stupidities way. Then we went off to the orange julep 'cause i was starving and I think she was probably hungry too. When I got back to the car, she was playing with her laptop's voice recognition and commands.
Went straight back chez moi and crashed. I was so tired this morning, I was maybe 5 mins late for class. REALLY didn't want to kick my ass into gear. It got me thinking of Chris though. She must be absolutely exhausted today. We'll see tonight I guess! I'm spending tonight chez elle. All I have tomorrow is Marc, at 3.
Anyway, I have my IA soon. 30 minutes to go! Pierre let us out early this morning, giving me almost a full two hours to kill. I find that the perfect length. Been chilling in Olivers. Someone but CNN on, which I'm strangely happy about. Sometimes I just miss news. (Speaking of news, Trina and D'arcy were in the plant office, so I knocked on the window, just to say hi).
On with my day. I'm kinda waking up. I know we have an in class assignment, which sucks. But having them in class beats having them as homework. I need to buy my textbook.

Anyone ever been to an event at Midtown Le Sporting Club Sanctuaire in Outremont? Some meeting, party or wedding? I'm looking at having something there, but I haven't been able to find any testimonials or reviews online. Is the staff good? How's the food? Do they try to sneak in extra charges? I want to know before I fork over a couple of hundred for a deposit.
Any help or advice is appreciated!

So I have a wedding at the end of October that both the reception and the ceremony are outside. What do I wear ???????????
