I haven't updated in awhile... I come on every day and check out my friends list, but I rarely gather the inspiration to post.

I guess I come here mostly when I need to vent or try to document things I care about. I guess today I've come here to work out some feelings.

Ever since I was promoted, my friendship with Kelly (who I was good friends with from 7th grade on) has dwindled to nothing. We work at the same place, and our friendship did not survive my promotion. I don't care to suss out who's fault it was or even need to think it was one persons fault, it's just the way it is.

A week ago or so she posted some pictures on her facebook or myspace or whatever of her at our seemingly mutual college friend Sarah's grad school graduation party. That didn't bother me so much. I alone did a poor job of keeping in contact with Sarah and understand completely why I was not invited. I don't know why I'm even bringing it up as part of this whole thing, but there you go. Anyway... today I see that Kelly posted pictures of her grad school graduation party. I'm not at all surprised I wasn't invited. But I peruse the pictures anyways, because that's the beauty of MySpace, right? And I see... Damian in the pictures. Damian was here in Baldwinsville and didn't even tell me. Now... granted, he did come down to see me and I don't believe he told Kelly then, but at the time I offered to take him to my work when she was on shift, he declined. Anyway... I know the right thing to do is to respect the somewhat difficult situation mutual friends are put in when two friends go their separate ways and let him off the hook. However, a giant part of me is hurt and angry and jealous. A giant part of me hates that he was here and didn't contact me, that he came down here for her. A giant part of me wants his friendship to myself.

Maybe writing that down here will help me realize how ridiculous I sound.

A giant part of me saw those pictures and reacted by thinking "well... I'll never call him again..." which is ridiculous. I'm sure it will pass... I hope it will pass. No. I know it will pass because I will make it pass because I'm not going to let her ruin my friendships from a distance. I'm not going to let her get to me so much that I ruin my own friendships. I am a separate person. A whole person alone and do not need to be defined by friends or by what my friends do.

I'm just hurt because I feel like it was kept from me... but that's silly too... I am not his keeper. He doesn't have to tell me everything.

I hope this is all normal and I'm not just some crazy, selfish freak.

In case you live under a rock, Heath Ledger was found dead today. I literally gasped out loud when I read the headline at first. Ledger had so much potential, was truly a great talent. I've never been so affected by an actor's death. I can't imagine how Michelle Williams and their baby girl, Mathilda, are feeling right now.

I really wish tv show creators would not leave all the good stuff until the season finale because, to me, it cheapens it. I'm a bit disappointed in tonights tv.... Let's start with....

The Office )

and now onto...

So The Office? Best. Show. Ever. In. History. Pam is my idol. I love her dearly. She's so identifiable...
cut for friends list courtesy... )

As for Grey's Anatomy...
I'm getting irritated... )

I can't even get through an episode of Ugly Betty anymore... I'm just bored by it. It's cute and all, but so boring. Everytime Wilhelmena (sp?) and Meede are on the screen my eyes roll out of my head... and I miss Henry all the time...

I have Scrubs waiting for me on my Tivo.... I'm still watching that show only because I have from the beginning, but it definitely has lost it's luster. J.D. always talks in that whiney voice now, it's no longer cute.

I'm sad it's May and The Office will be leaving me for the summer, but I have Big Love to look forward to in June and Weeds some time too. Also, I just read today that Rilo Kiley's new album will be out in August. Completely and totally awesome. I can also look forward to Bones Season 2 on DVD since I'm behind a season... and I have all of Arrested Development season 2 and 3 to catch up on... and I purchase Supernatural Season 1, and I anticipate that will be wonderful. Television rules my life some times. But I like to pride myself on the fact that I watch little tv (no, really)... I don't sit down to "see what's on"... I know what I like, I know when it's on, and most of the time I TiVo the shit so I don't have to watch the moronic commercials.

I like to think that I belong to a group of intellectual television watchers... people who appreciate good television shows like they are works of art, which can be analyzed and reviewed and invested in.

Go ahead call me crazy, but that's how I prefer to get through the day.

So The Office is back. It was a good episode. A long time to wait for it though, so it kinda got all built up in my head. Can't be disappointed though.

Is it just me, or is John Krasinski wearing a wig? Or something? Something is definitely off. He's loosing too much weight or something. Check him out in the scene after he makes the discovery and runs to the bathroom... He looks... strange.

Name your top six TV shows right now, before reading the questions.

1. The Office
2. House, M.D.

I've been reading a lot (and I mean a lot) of jim/pam fic lately. All kinds. Happy, sad, angsty, fluffy. And it's all had the same affect on me. I'm pathetically depressed about the whole thing, which says two things.

1. I am way too invested in the television shows that I watch
and thus,
2. I need a life.

But anyway. What's got me depressed is the limitations the actual show has. If you notice, Karen and Jim have been together most of the season and we have seen one hug from them. We've never seen them kiss (and imo thank frackin goodness) because of the limitations the "camera crew" have. We don't see their private lives, and rarely even hear about it, if ever even! I mean, we've seen Jan and Michael kiss because they (Jan) have a problem with keeping it private! And the 2 Jam kisses we saw were because they took place at an office function and in the office. So what I'm getting at is: If Jim and Pam get together, it's not like they are going to let the "camera crew" film them go on a date or hang out at one another's apartment. We aren't going to see that stuff. And that's what depressing me.

It's silly because one of the things I love about the show is it's limitations and for crissakes it is called THE OFFICE, but I'm being silly and over emotional about it, and I need someone to tell me that this isn't going to affect the Jamness of it and that the writers will do a good job with the relationship (I'm not spoiled or anything, I'm just speaking from my own assumption that this relationship WILL HAPPEN or our heads will collectively explode all over Greg Daniels).

I'm sitting here listening to the music that was played in this episode, and I have to say, some of the best scoring ever on this show took place in this episode with one single scene. And that's saying a lot about a show that's been known from the beginning to use great, relevent music. Anyway, the scene I'm talking about is the moment when George remembers the night before and the song "Still Alright" by Adam Merrin plays. It's just so perfect when Izzie looks up and smiles at him. It breaks my heart.

I have to explain myself here a bit. I was an Izzie/George 'shipper at the beginning. There was something about them that compelled me. But when the Denny stuff happened I kind of lost hope for them, especially with the entrance of Callie who I really loved. For a while, I was a Callie/George enthusiast. But I'm back on track now. I'm kind of disappointed in the direction Callie's going in. The heiress stuff seems a bit false. But I guess it explains why she was living in the hospital.

I was also thinking that T.R. Knight does not get enough praise and recognition for the wonderful work he puts into this show and neither does Katharine Heigl. Sandra Oh was wonderful around the beginning of the second season, especially with the pregnancy storyline, and she deserved that Golden Globe win and the Emmy Noms, but she's not the only amazing actor on this show. Yes, she has past cred and what not, but let's give some love to T.R. Katharine's got the one nom, which is nice. I'd like to see them both get more credit.

My coloring is all over the place in this batch. I iconned pretty typical Office moments, but I'm okay with that because I'm new to the fandom, and some photoshoots. Mostly of Jenna and John. Can you blame me?
