A me certi discorsi fanno venire i brividi [Dec 25 2009 3:16pm] fantasy_caill [ mood | discontent ] [ music | " Ever " - Ludovico Einaudi ] -________________- In rete ci sono proposte che inneggiano al boicottaggio totale da internet di libri che siano stati pubblicati da piccole case editrici a pagamento. Cerco di spiegare la mia rabbia senza fumare troppo da orecchie e naso stile toro inferocito. Lo so, lo so anche io che purtroppo la maggior parte delle case editrici che chiedono un contributo all'autore sono poi così disoneste da sparire, rendersi introvabili e non fare il minimo sforzo per pubblicizzare il libro lanciato...tanto son già stati pagati. Lo so. Ma fare un appello agli utenti di internet perchè: boicottino/ignorino/sconsiglino nei loro blog e siti e librerie anobii un libro solo perchè è stato pubblicato con contributo dell'autore mi sembra andare addosso all'autore e basta. Io ho realmete letto libri validi che non meritano - tutt'altro - di essere boicottati per la scelta che ha fatto l'autore di promuoversi. Se scegli la modalità di pubblicazione del libro come criterio per fare le tue scelte di libri da leggere, allora credo tu stia dando agli editori proprio il potere che vorresti togliere loro; stai dando l'importanza al canale di distribuzione e non alla storia. Devi consigliare o sconsigliare ( con una critica costruttiva! ) un libro per le sue qualità, per la trama e lo stile con il quale è scritto. Punto. Se lo consigli, contribuisci a far funzionare il passaparola che può far emergere un autore che non ha ancora un suo "nome". In caso contrario, da parte tua il passa-parola non funzionerà o sarà negativo. Se il libro è valido è giusto che possa essere conosciuto da altri. Un tipo di boicottaggio così accanito dovrebbe funzionare per altri tipi di libri, che purtroppo - povera Italia - sono le grandi case editrici a propinarci: autobiografie di presentatrici e veline, di calciatori e tronisti ( 0_______0 ) per esempio. Tra gente che ama i libri e che prova anche a scriverli dovrebbe esserci solidarietà e consiglio, nel senso di aiutarsi nel segnalare le case editrici che sono a pagamento e i rischi annessi, così che sia poi una scelta consapevole dell'autore affidarsi all'una o all'altra. E' utopia pensare che un boicottaggio così sfrenato colpisca davvero chi noi vorremmo colpire, cioè la gente disonesta. Una persona però che voglia pubblicare il suo libro deve poter avere - e questo credo che, volendo, ci sia già - una rete di informazione per valutare quale casa editrice possa fare per lui. Se una persona vuole, ci sono i parametri per capire il rischio che sta correndo, ma al di là della scelta che ha fatto, perché un amante dei libri non può fare lo sforzo di superare la rabbia per la casa editrice e cercare di apprezzare il libro in sè? Non si fa nulla di particolare alla Vigilia, non abbiamo tradizioni particolari, ma ne escono sempre serate bellissime. L'atmosfera è davvero tutto! Sul fronte regali, anche lì ci son state bellissime sorprese! Ho ricevuto: Famiglia: - da mia madre e mio padre gli stivaletti che son andata a comprare domenica - un lettore dvd/divx/blue-ray da mia sorella e il suo compagno insieme Da Teresa e Andrea: - una sciarpa e un baschetto di lana viola - un vassoio + due tazze da cioccolata + bustine di preparato da cioccolata in tazza della Lindt ( sì, faccio pubblicità indecorosa e niente affatto occulta. Lindt è il meglio! ) - una cornice fatta da lei Friends: - un bellissimo biglietto di auguri da minami77 - un banner micioso natalizio da faechan che presto diventerà un'icona I regali fatti da me son piaciuti e questo mi ha soddisfatto non poco! *_* Insomma, è stata una Vigilia da ricordare! Davvero bella, nella sua semplicità! COMMENT
