H I S T O R Y |
Isllyn was born the first of a pair of identical twins, on a dairy farm on the Dentoria-Kanemoria border. From a young age, she began working on her parent's farm alongside her sister. And from a young age, her dreams of grandeur began to develop. She knew there was more to life than the dirt beneath her fingernails and the mud that stained her socks. She knew there was more to life than wasting her youth working on a farm. But even though she knew, she couldn't do anything about it-- and part of her didn't even want to. Her sister needed her, her parents needed her. They were happy, granted, but they were poor. They were taught to sing and dance by their mother, and both Isllyn and her sister Fallyn had undeniable talent. Isllyn hadn't the grace that Fallyn had, and was envious, before discovering that her true calling lay in the lyre, and her voice. Some years later, the twins departed from the small dairy farm that had been their home for so long, and out into the bustling streets of the larger cities. All her life Isllyn had been waiting to find paradise, but it was only when she left it, that she realized she'd been there all along. Kanemoria was a dangerous place, and its features a far cry from the things that she had dreamed of. But her hopes were not easily crushed, and she learned some basic magic, enough to defend herself, and her sister, as the twins roamed the seemingly ever-expanding land. Life was nothing if not hard. Humans were nothing if not imperfect. Isllyn made her mistakes, but she learned from every one. And she knew they could make it big, if they just pushed a little further. She knew her dreams weren't far away. Couldn't be far away. They certainly weren't out of reach. Just a little further. |
P E R S O N A L I T Y |
On the surface, Isllyn is a cheerful, happy girl who dreams of fame and fortune. Beyond the surface, Isllyn is a cheerful, happy girl who knows that dreaming, alone, won't help her achieve her ambitions. This being said, Isllyn isn't afraid to use her looks, talents, or even flirt to get what she wants. After all, how could she not use the gifts that the Holy Dragons bestowed upon her? From a distance, Isllyn is in love with the world. Looking closer, she knows it's imperfect. She's not naive, but sometimes wishes she was. Isllyn loves her family-- especially her sister-- dearly, and knows that they deserve better than what they've got. Whether they're happy, or not. She knows that riches are the fruits of labour, and she promises herself daily that she won't complain about what strife she goes through, no matter how much it terrifies her or depresses her. One of her greatest sources of strength is her sister's smile, and she knows she would do anything to keep that smile on her face. Though not an aggressive woman at heart, she isn't without a temper, and doesn't react kindly to people who even dare mistreat her friends and loved ones. Isllyn is definately not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and is extremely passionate about the things that she pours her heart and soul into. |

Isllyn is a pretty, slim girl with a fair complexion, and is almost her sister's mirror image. They share the same bright, violet eyes, and the same long, thick pink hair that some describe as odd, and distinguishes them from most others. Her hair makes her feel unique, and she knows that she's two-of-a-kind. A golden, star-shaped hairclip, a gift from her parents, both serves as an accessory, and something that sets her apart from her sister (that is, aside from her slightly larger... assets.)
