I chopped my own bangs. Yay or nay??





I was kinda pissed when I took this picture because it was a bitch writing and signing Communication Books for my kindergarten class. "Communication Books" are like logbooks/diaries that records the the students' performances, etc. and we teachers always have to write progress reports about their children. I write it in ENGLISH of course because there's no way I could write Chinese. And I'm supposed to be their foreign teacher anyway. But it's weird cos in other schools, the Chinese teachers do it because most of their parents CANNOT understand English. Ugh, what a waste of time.

Ignore the rant.

Anyway, today was kind of a short day for me. The scary tsunami in Japan sent warnings all over the Pacific, including Taiwan. And the government decided to cancel classes (and work!) all over the northern coast of the island. Where I live is about 20-30 minutes away from the ocean. How exciting is that? So yeah, my students' parents panicked and picked up their kids from school. My parents panicked as well, they all tried to call and send a barrage of text messages and emails asking how I was. I was talking to my older brother a while ago but he was more of annoyed at how paranoid my parents were. He said they should panic ONLY if it were an ASTEROID hitting earth. Ha, maybe he had a point.

Oh well, God bless to all of us living in the Pacific.

I swear, it's the sweetest toy camera I've ever owned. Like what reviews say, it's a hit and miss camera but I'm sure you can learn from mistakes. Pics taken from my short visit to my dad's farm in the Philippines.

I wish it was that easy to pack a bag and hit the road until I make up my mind.

Soo, I started this year on a plane. It's funny how the pilot did the countdown while we were on the plane. It's awesome seeing fireworks from the sky. I haven't been home in a year, that's a record for me but I've decided to visit Singapore with one of my friends. I feel bad for leaving M on New Year's Eve, but at the same time I feel like I deserve a trip like this. It was short but I had lotsa fun, figuring things out ourselves. Hopefully there will be more trips like this. 2011, bless me with travel money!!! bwahaha.

It's been a long gloomy week, it doesn't help that I have to wake up early this week to sub for a kindergarten class, unfortunately, their real teacher caught the flu bug so I had to be there...which I enjoyed doing anyway because of the financial benefits. I know nothing seems to be missing in my life but I feel like I'm living a routine (sleep-work-sleep). It is true that people are insatiable.

I didn't do anything for halloween except that work-related thing where I had to dress-up as a ghost and scare the shit out of kids in this poorly-converted "haunted house" classroom. I having a lot of fun until the next few kids started kicking and hitting me, screaming "I'm not afraid of you!!!"

I finally got a new laptop!!!! and it's white! but it's not a mac. I can't wait to organize my life...more posts and pictures coming soon.

Nobody ever uses lj anymore, I've had this since I was in highschool and even though I don't post that often, I don't really feel like joining the bandwagon and opening a tumbler/twitter/etc. I only have this and facebook, and I'm already finding it hard to maintain. Haha.

I feel so blessed. life is good. <3



It's crazy how time flies, also way too crazy how I've ignored writing on this journal. Haha. I always check it though (my friends list and such) but was never really inspired to post anything. First of all, I need a new computer. I've had this one for almost 5 years and it's dying. I promised myself that I'll get a new one before this year ends...and that is so soon.

So what's new?
after a well thought decision of moving in with my love, good things followed which only confirmed that it was the right decision. I got a new job that I love, made new friends, got a new bike (after my old one was stolen) and felt more loved than ever before.
