Does dark dye take better to bleached hair? I have naturally blonde hair & have been bleaching black dye out of my hair for the past several months..I finally got it all out and put in a dark brown but it wont stick to my re-growth for the LIFE of me and I can't figure out why...the bleached parts of my hair hold the dye fine. I've tried leaving the dye on my roots for longer than the rest of my hair and I've tried color depositing shampoo/conditioner ( I use the Deva line and its fab ) and color safe hair products but it still doesn't help my roots/regrowth that hasn't been bleached :( it washes out almost immediately, even if i wait like 48 hours after my dye job to wash it...any tips are appreciated!

So who thinks this would look good on me? I've got my next appointment on Saturday and I'm thinking that I want my hair to look like an autumn forest. A total mish-mash of reds, oranges, yellows and maybe browns, purples even. I actually have it cut in a faux-hawk right now, which I'm keeping, but it's getting a bit overgrown and I'm about 3 weeks late for a hair cut anyway. This is how I wore it today because it's looking FUN-KY in the hawk being this long. I also decided to wear my bangs straight across, since they haven't been parting where my cowlick is and has always been my whole life. I don't get it. But I'm trying to rock it. I feel like they make me look a little kid-ish, but it's just for today, really. They're usually split above my right eyebrow, with the right side going STRAIGHT to the right side of my head.

I was just wondering if someone with super short hair could put in extensions and actually have them look normal.
I wasnt planning on going all out and paying like 400 dollars for someone to sew them into my head.
I just want some for when im having the "I wish I wouldnt have cut all my hair off" days.
so I just wanted to know that if I went and bought some form sallys would they even be worth putting in? or would I look like a scene helmet head? or like im missing chunks of hair from mine being to short?
pictures of people with normal looking extensions would be a lot of comfort.

It's about time to visit the hairdresser but I have no clue what to do with my hair.
You're opinion is highly appreciated!
Also, I have a large forehead, and I have a mean cowlick at the front if I don't style my hair properly before it dries. I'm also in the process of growing hair dye out.

So I have the most boring haircut ever, and I really don't know what I should get done to it that would be flattering on me. I want to let it grow longer, for sure, and I really like having some kind of bangs going on. I also like to wear it straight. But beyond that, I'm clueless.

oh mrh, i am so sad :(
here's my previous post/timeline. i went and got the perm today! but i feel like it made it more wavy than curly and its just kind of a flat mess :( i'm so sad. he blew it dry and put a TON of gel in it and i hate that, so i'm reserving final final judgement for tomorrow when i style it myself, but still. it's a total downgrade :( i'm hoping i can style it myself better and make it more like curls instead of fluffiness.

i rented out a analog sigma sa-7 from college today. does anyone know how to get the fstop up on it?
my teacher showed us that when you set the shutter speed it will suggest a suitable fstop. but i cant get it to do it...
help pleease!? i wont see my teacher till next week.

I have an appointment to get my hair done on Thursdayy, and I'm not exactly sure what I want to do.
I know I want to go shorter, and kind of a choppy cut. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!
I was also thinking of going brunette, but Im kind of nervous since I've never changed my hair color before (except highlights) So, if anyone wanted to photoshop my hair different shades of brown, I'd probably have to love you foreverrrr :)

I've been feeling more "go with the flow" lately. Empty my mind a little, enjoy what the day has and not think about tomorrow or yesterday.
Speaking of which, yesterday was an odd one. I started The Master Cleanse for a third attempt in my life, realized by 2pm that I have to go out to dinner on Friday with my dad's side of the family for my birthday, and ate something. I also had a horrible headache by that time, took some tylenol after eating and fell asleep. You're supposed to do the cleanse for 10 days. I think that I can do it and I feel an obligation due to having around 10 lemons downstairs. But I'm going to have to prepare to feel pretty badly for a little while.
I also weighed myself yesterday because I just wanted to see how much weight I would lose. Since I am vegan and don't eat a lot of crap I thought I probably wouldn't eliminate too much. (Just so no one gets me wrong here-) I knew I would gain the weight back because you aren't losing fat.
Weight usually doesn't give me any weird satisfaction like it used to, but I was excited to see that I weigh 128 pounds. Meaning I've lost 20 pounds since like over a year ago. I'm proud because I'm not a victim to my weight anymore, I'm not going to sleep early so I don't eat anymore and I don't binge anymore! My biggest win.
Uh. My stomach hurts.
I've been trying to ride the lightrail whenever I go downtown. I think tomorrow I might take the lightrail to Pearl/Louisiana and walk around Washington Park. Walking is nice, seeing what's around you.
I got the job at Loveland. I've been thinking I'll save all of the money I make, along with whatever money I make helping at Whole Foods over the holidays and use it this summer. I have some new goals and I feel proactive about them.
At Loveland I'll get a free pass there, a free pass anywhere except Vail locations (ass holes) and $8.50 an hour plus $2 a head in the class. Exciting.
Time to get ready for school bleh.
