[04 Jul 2004|04:49pm] WOOO HOOOO!!!! finally all that beetle sex has paid off! i now have a bucket full of baby meal worms!! don't worry, i won't post pics, yet. ;) they are too tiny. Bird-bird is being a brave boy today.. he keeps sneaking up close to me and just sitting there, watching.. i think seeing Flicka climbing all over me is helping him realize that i may be big, but i'm not scary! more new work just a landscape this time.. everyone seemed to like Anmorata Landscape, the only picture i've ever sold prints of, so i figured i might as well try another one. it was a version of a very old lj layout i used to have. i don't know, feeling inspired.. but at the same time, blah.. i have a list of art to do.. cd art for angst_machine, paintings of louder and roseperfume, and a painting of a recent sketch.. hmmm... i did just scan the sketch.. and it will look eeeeeevil.. mwahahaha*cough*. this vodka isn't doing much. probably not drinking fast enough.. *looks at clock* heh, yep, been nursing one drink for almost 4 hours now. what is wrong? hehe.. i think i have tetanus.. hmmm.. my jaw hurts. or maybe i just slept funny.. guess i should get my shot one day. never had it. haven't had any vaccinations since i was born though, oops. [09 Jun 2004|07:10pm] [ music | robert rich-alien zoology ] tonights dinner plan.. chick pea pitas! i haven't tried this recipe yet. so don't be mad if it sucks! hehe.. well, i have tried the chick pea part and it is yummy, haven't tried the pita part yet.. mind you, i never use measuring cups when i cook, so a lot of weird and wonderful accidents happen. these recipes are just basic directions ;) you need: 1 can chick peas curry powder (i use the HOT HOT HOT indian stuff as well as the milder stuff from the grocery store) other indian spices if you like coconut paste (if you want it) fresh crushed garlic 1 egg pita bread 1 cup unsweetened yogurt 1 fresh tomato, chopped 1 fresh cucumber, chopped margarine or oil to cook: * drain the chick peas and save the juice for later put the chick peas into a large bowl and mash them. a potato masher works well for that. add curry powder, fresh garlic and coconut paste to taste mix in the egg, if it is kinda sloppy you can add 1/4 cup flour. * heat up oil or margarine in a frying pan to medium high add the chick pea mixture and fry it, stirring occasionally until it is nice and golden brown.. or until you think it is done. ;) * while that cooks, use a clean bowl, add about 1 cup of the natural yogurt, fresh crushed garlic to taste, and a dash of lemon juice if desired. mix well. to serve: serve on a pita or flatbread, first the chick pea mixture, chopped tomato, cucumber and what ever other veggies you want, then the yogurt mix on top. hopefully it is good! wow.. i've been a posting whore today.. heh. 5lost & found

[29 May 2004|10:12pm] [ music | Asian Dub Foundation - Truth Hides (super slut radio) ] My friend, Kari, has her first childrens book out! yay! in other news, Flicka seems to think that birdies who fly don't need to eat. she is being very bratty today, for once she is not dancing all over my keyboard while i type. noooo.. now she is building a nest in my hair, complete with poop! ugh! every time i move her, she scolds me until either i put her back up there or she flies up. silly bird! it's hard to believe that she is only 18 days old! 5lost & found
