actual update.
- i am ridiculously retarded and sent in my housing application for next year late. i am now on the waiting list for housing and there is a good chance i won't have housing on campus next year. my parents refuse to pay for off campus housing (it is soooo expensive here) and don't want me living off campus and are just suggesting i go to El Camino next semester and live at home. haha! or i might live with two 21 year old dudes in an apartment 2 miles from campus. haha!
- i've realized that i am now in a situation that for the next four years, no matter where i am, i am going to be missing people. when i'm in Boston i miss everyone back in LA and i've gotten so close to people in Boston so fast that thinking of not seeing them for 4 months is simply crazy. i've grown really attached to this city and to these people.
- i come back to LA for the summer on april 28th. i'm really excited about summer even though i will probably be working two jobs for the majority of it. i just want the beach, sailing, driving down the 405 with the windows down, being warmed by the sun and countless hangouts with friends i haven't seen enough of in eight months.
- 300 was epic but i don't know how much i'd like to watch it on a regular movie night. TMNT was what i expected it to be so i wasn't really let down. Rocky Votolato show was so so so good and just one big sing along. Grindhouse was really good even though everyone saw the best scenes in the trailers. i'm seeing Demetri Martin (aka my future hubby) tomorrow at my school for free. gosh, i love my school. oh, NAS and Gym Class Heroes on saturday at my school. so good.
- i've had a lot of people visit me over the school year and it feels really good. i love when friends visit and i can show them around and play tour guide. so far: Emilia (x2), Misa, Lauren and Jeff. and some old Model UN kids but they didn't really come for me. i'm winning in the 'who has the most out of town friends visit' game. i also get extra points because they live so far away.
- school is going well and i'm liking my major more and more. i am also realizing that most jobs that would be offered to a person with a political science degree are jobs that i don't want. sometimes i just wish i could stop worrying about having a job in the future and having a piratical major and only take classes i'm interested in. or just drop out now and join the Peace Corps for a few years and then move back to California and open a coffee shop.
- over winter break i put a scratch (really bad dent-like scratch) in the side of my car. last week my car was parked on the street and someone hit it and put a huge dent in the exact spot the scratch is. now my parents aren't making me pay to fix the scratch because our insurance is fixing the dent! that saves me $500 i didn't have in the first place!
- i have learned that my mood depends on the weather. i never knew that because in California we basically have the same weather all year round (summer or not so summer). here it will be 60° and sunny one day and 20° and snowing the next day. therefore, i have become bi polar. but no worries, i will be fine in the summer when it's 90° and sunny everyday.
-more tattoos this summer!
i'm really content with life right now. i like it.
