| Bio: | Hello, I'm Elj. You appear to have stumbled across my virtual soapbox. Feel free to stand around and listen for a bit, applaud or throw things. If you could throw polite comments rather than rotten fruit, I'd consider it a favour. Bluntly, this is where I get to rant, squee or wibble as the mood takes me. My life isn't that exciting to anyone but me, but is hopefully at least mildly amusing. You'll probably hear a lot about ladybirds (what my PhD is on), rowing (my favourite sport) and writing (I have read compulsively and obsessively for as long as I can remember and, when the rest of my life allows, I occasionally set pen to paper). Not to mention a fair amount of other drivel about my day, the weather, my friends, etc. If you've suddenly and inexplicably discovered I've added you as a friend, chances are it's because you write fic and I think it's good. If I've added you and you don't write fic, I've probably tripped over your journal on my way to/from some fic and think you sound like a cool person. Often these two scenarios coincide and Elj is very happy. :D (N.B. In real life, I am occasionally quite shy. On the interweb, this translates to a certain reluctance to comment often in people's journals. This does not mean I amn't lurking....) I think that's it.
