[13 Jan 2005|09:46pm] On the fourth official day of school, I've come down with a flu-induced fever and I'm feeling rightly awful. Other than that, school's been better than expected (maybe since I didn't expect much of it anyway,) and I'm actually enjoying myself fairly well here. I think I'll be staying after 1st 3 months. right up my alley

Unsent Letter. [29 Dec 2004|10:43pm] To the person who wanted to go to Phuket to look-see at the tsunami disaster area and was featured on the Chinese news a few days ago: Dear Sir, I thought that was an absolutely insensitive thing to do. If you wanted to go there, at least have a constructive purpose for it, and not just for your selfish want of touring the area. Join the Red Cross! Help with relief! Do something better than just treating the disaster area as a tourist attraction. To want to expand your horizons is not even a reasonable excuse to travel to Phuket to make a nuisance of yourself in the midst of devastation and mourning. Even if this is a once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity, you shouldn't make use of it in this way. It's almost equivalent to taking from it, and not giving back at all. For someone who's looking like he's above 40 years old, I must say that your behaviour is remarkably immature and shallow, and I honestly do hope, for your own sake, that you grow up soon.
